It seems that Ashley has the cough / cold that Elle has had for a week. She (Ashley) was up coughing and crying several times last night. She seems to want the reassurance of being with me. Let's hope it passes once she is well again. She's now passed it to me too so I've got a sore throat and huge glands. Joy!

(and yep its a pain with a toddler to entertain).

On the days she is at dc part time I would just hold him. If she was at home he had to do with the front pack.

I didnt want to push the issue of his bassinette too much as he was sleeping fine at night and i didnt want him to turn "off" his bed.

Last week was the first full week he did every day sleep in his bed and went down awake *proud Mummy* (fingers crossed it continues!)

It usually only lasts a few days and then you get your baby back, but it can mess with your mind trying to figure it out.

I just go with the flow and give them that bit more help (rocking, dummy, hold to sleep) or whatever as long as it doesn't go on for more than a few days. I find that less stressful than trying the solve the mystery.

My poppet has been the most amazing napper since 3 weeks - settling perfectly and sleeping 2 or so hours at a time.

This weekend however, it's been all over red rover. She has barely napped. Any naps she has taken have been preceeded by much crying and have been very short i.e. 10mins to 40mins tops. She seemed to want to feed heaps yesterday but her naps have still be wonky today. She starts crying from the moment I start wrapping her and just yells and yells when put in bed. Totally opposite to what she is usually like,

Is this a growth spurt OR is this the age where they decide to fight bed? We've had more crying this weekend than in the first 8 weeks combined!

I'm wondering whether it is a spurt, illness or just her coming into her own (praying it is not the latter!).
