Just found out, by accident, that you can wash the Precious flushable wipes AND dry them in a dryer and come out perfectly fine. So, if you cut them in half you get about 160 liners and then if you wash them a few times they'll go even longer. They're flushable and only cost about $4-5. I was at Woolworths the other day and bought some HomeBrand nappy liners. Not too sure if they are disposable cos the box doesnt say and I havent tried them yet. This may not work for those of you with really sensitive bubbas but I've been using the flushable wipes as liners. I think they are the Precious brand and come in the purple packaging...

I just take all the wipes out of the packet and let them completely dry. Cause they are big wipes you can then cut them in half and you have a nice thick stack of liners that you can flush away with the poo. Ryan hasn't had any issues with rashes or sensitive skin but he's not prone to them anyway.

Those Johnson's ones aren't flushable. I have a box and a half of the JOnsons that you can buy off me if ya want.

Personally I don't like them and have changed to another, softer brand.

 

I've been buying mine off Snazzipants website. $10 for a roll of 100. THey're flushable, soft and I also found them more absorbent than the JOhnsons ones.

Amby just wanted to pop my head in and go nooooo don't use polar fleece as a liner! It doesn't wick well, so you'll suddenly have massive leaking problems if you use polar fleece. (Microfleece is different material.)

I use microfleece liners. Have been for about six months, all oyu do is tip it into the toilet and pull both ends, poo usually drops off. If not we have a shower attatchment in our laundry for rinisng nappies so do the same for the liners. My DH is storeroom manager at New World and I had asked him to get some for me and he said they dont make them anymore I was gutted.
But he got me some Budget Chux cloths and they are pretty must exactly the same as the J&J liners I cut them up and use them as wipes for Bella with warm water and for Caden at the moment too, and for liners when he wears cloth naps.

Nope, they have definitely stopped making them. I was in Birthcare last week and commented to one of the midwives about how I had been hunting for them to stock up. She said they had been discontinued, and that they had bought up the last of the supply.

Can you buy a stack of chux cloths and cut them up instead?

OMG, I cant' believe they stopped selling them. I've been looking for weeks and was hoping it was a supply issue. I use them as 'wipes' as well, and they're so much better than the normal wipes, especially if there's nappy rash involved! Maybe that's why they've stop producing them, because they're being used instead of their wipes. I have been using baby face cloths for wipes (cheap ones of TM), actual 'baby wipes' are nasty to my bubba's bits too. Good for removing make-up though (mine, not Jody's).
Does anyone use polar fleece as a liner? How messy is it with a runny poop? I'm guessing harder poop would just drop off but how do you handle the smushy stuff? Mmm I found a couple of sites in Oz that were still stocking them - contemplated having a box or 2 shipped over here!

Yeah I rang Johnsons after searching every supermarket from Auckland to Hamilton, and they have discontinued the product. I told them many mum's would be unhappy! I've been looking for them in supermarkets around wellington too, and haven't found them. NW Thorndon seem to have a vacant spot for them but no stock. I asked one of the people there and they 'helpfully' said they'd be in tomorrow. Monikah, I didn't realise they are flushable... I just throw them out if dirty or wash and reuse if wet.

Anyway, I also get flushable liners from either nature baby, baby universe, or snazzipants. But they are white ones and come in a roll, about $10 for 100.

I bought some off trademe, 6 rolls of a hundred sheets per roll. $40. they are white tho. and i cut them in half because they are quite big, but that means i get twice as many that i paid for!

i just had a quick look on trademe, these arent the ones i got, but just the same type of thing tho
