Great ground covers and minimal requirements. They are also good for holding soil together in sloped areas so your topssoil doesn't all wash away during winter.

Zero maintanence - just chop back a bit at the end of summer, and it's such a weed that it will take over the area it's planted (so nothing else really grows. I'd use it along the strip of grass so you don't have to mow there ever again.

We pretty much NEVER use this area. There are also steps at the end of the house to get up to the front of the house so it is lowered. There is a thin strip of grass down the side and then at the very back maybe 3 x 3 metre patch of grass. We dont use this area at all and it is a PITA to mow hence it hasnt been and is over grown with weeds and looks awful!

So my q is what to do with this area... we want lowest maintenance possible but to look good as well :)
