Natalie wouldn't let us anywhere near her mouth (and still won't), so there was no way I could get a totothbrush in! I tried so many times giving a brush to her just to play with, all to no avail (even when I would brush my teeth at the same time to show her). It all came down to putting some toothpaste on the brush - apparently that makes it all worthwhile

Having said that, she still just sucks the toothpaste off the brush, but I figure it's such a small amount plus any teeth cleaning is better than none! But now when I do my teeth in the morning, she will come and 'ask' for hers too

If ryan see's me or DH brushing our teeth, Ryan sceams and screams until you give him his and then we can't get it off him afterwards.

He seems to work it out himself just watched us do it and just did it himself. In the morning we do this routine and I'll get dressed then we'll go in the bathroom he'll sit on the floor and I give him his brush and I do mine at the same time. We even stop to rine, (have to teach him to spit though) then we wash faces and hands and I do the rest of me make up blah blah, and then we get him dressed and ready for the day. Daniel just got given a brush when we brushed ours and just encouraged him to brush them, now he asks for his brush morning and night and doesnt like giving it up! We didnt force the issue. I sing the 'you brush your teeth, ch..ch..ch...ch...ch...' etc we thing - can't remember what it's off and do mine at the same time.

started brushing his with a toothbrush quite early on as he had most of his teeth by 1yo. As soon as DD was starting to get  more teeth we got her a little toothbrush and paste and chews on it, but as she she gets older we will teach her how to clean her teeth properly. She is 13 months old.

We started brushing as soon as Caden got teeth, which was at 7 months old.
We just put a tiny bit of his kiddies toothpaste on the brush and gently cleaned his teeth, at first he didnt like it, but now he LOVES his toothbrush! We say "brush teeth" and he opens his mouth, we give them a brush and then let him hold the brush and he puts it in his own mouth and sucks and chews on it lol

We started brushing teeth (gums) when we introduced solids - just using a little song and rubbing her gums with a flannel. The as she got bigger, I made sure she saw me brushing my teeth each day. At about 9 or 10 months we bought the pigeon toothbrushy set and started brushing her gums with the bumpy silicone head brush, and when she finally got teeth we moved onto a real toothbrush then.
We still use the same silly song (brusha brusha brusha....) and we brush our teeth together in the mornings - always lead by example! and she brings me her toothbrush at night.
Toothpaste is yum!
