Not long to go for me now.

Cheryl, I totally understand not wanting to become high risk. I've also become high risk (other reasons) but it takes away so many choices and I do find that a bit hard.

I've also found that thinking to myself when I eat something "is this something I want to feed to my baby?" helps with eating healthy. As does not allowing DH to eat *bad* foods in front of me. Its much easier when they are not there tempting me. One more motivation - I don't want to feed my baby so much that it becomes a sumo-baby cos I've got to push it out (We have genes for 12lb babies in our family!).

Good luck, and hopefully the MS doesn't last too much longer for you. Mine eased off a bit after 10 weeks, and was gone by about 16 weeks. Making sure I got enough sleep also helped for me.

Then when kiwifruit came into season I lived on them for a while. Banana's have been a firm favourite throughout (but they have to be just the right amount of ripeness!). Also its just coming into strawberry season... maybe they'd make you feel better?

I also found my tastes changed as a I went along. I really wouldn't want a kiwifruit now.

For me though, I wasn't usually hungry, just that if I didn't eat I'd feel ill.

I ate nuts sometimes, but couldn't stomach many of them.

Hope something in there helps!

I would say eat what you need to eat but try to up your exercise (if you can?)... Swimming is ment to be really good too.. I dont see the point in eating healthy food that isnt going to make you feel any better as if you feel ill then your not going to feel like exercising (right?). When things settle down sickness wise then really go nuts on the healthy and be more strict.
Just my 2cents! GL hun

My BP is borderline and if I don't get it down by losing weight I'll become high-risk which I want to avoid if possible.

I'm trying to be good, I'm walking and doing Wii exercises but when it comes to the eating it's haaaarrrd. If I don't eat I get nauseous and eating "good" foods just doesn't cut it!

Has anyone else been in the same boat? How did you do it? did you find any "good" foods that satisfied the first trimester hunger???
