I hated it, you have to go to so many meeting & then the courses on top, ran out of time. I have 2 preschoolers & 1 school age so live was full on enough.

The only thing different for me going to PC than staying home, was more cleaning, more kids & less time with my own kids

I wanted to go somewhere so the kids could play with others & I could chat to grown ups, lol. So I ended up going to a music group & a church run play group & it was great.

You may love it & it may be just what you are looking for, you can go 3 times to check it out before joining, so make sure you find out what is expected of you if you join.

Also check out other things in your area.

Each playcentre seesm different in the amount of contribution they require. Ours is pretty cruisy and Jack loves it. Here are a couple of other threads which have some great info: link 1 and link 2

Hi,

The playcentre closest to me does Wednesday mornings. I really need to get out of the house Wednesdays with Kylah and into some group with kids. Shes no longer at daycare so doesnt have that interaction with other kids anymore. She goes to storytime at the library sometimes.

How does playcentre work? I have looked at their website and forum, and it seems so full on for the parents i mean.
