He must have realised this as he went straight to sleep after that.  It was only a second hand book we got from the local school fair (fill a bag for $5)  but that is not the point.  It saddens me so much when kids wreck books.  I dont mind books getting worn out....but this....<br /><br />Another good one we have...but is strictly "with mum and dad" is called Look and Find Thomas and Friends and it is a picture book where you look around to find certain objects.  He loves it....we have a similar one called "eye spy" and that is what he wants to look at when sitting on the potty or toilet]]>

We have Hungry Caterpillar which is now in about 5 pieces. They loved it to death <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"><br /><br />They have 2 Hairy Maclarey books but are still only interested in the pictures. <br /><br />They're current favourite kind of book is just picture ones that they can identify objects.<br /><br />nzpiper, that's what I'm thinking of doing. To buy some books that we read with them and let them continue to ransack the books they currently have.<br /><br />]]>

Tom still enjoys a board book but happily listens to non board books now...and doesnt rip them.  He also likes fairy tales.]]>
