I put a big bit of banana in it and he pulverises it as we go. I was told landing is more important as it is harder to equalise on their way down so tried to be really onto it as they started to prepare the cabin.
Finally, I have heard of a product called earplanes ( I think that is how they are spelt?), which is meant to help. I haven't used them but have been told they work and are available from chemists. Perhaps something to look into?
All the best

Roy and I flew in a few days back into a really gusty northerly in a wee plane, so of course it was really bumpy - hold the seat type stuff. Well, Roy thought it was absolutely hilarious, just like a huge jolly jumper or something, and laughed all the way down!

So maybe Campbel will think the same - fingers crossed!

They sucked on it for ages but otherwise I gave them the teething rusks to suck/chew on which also helped a bit. They used to only take small sips of water. Can you try and work his feeds for these times?

As you've probably heard it's a good thing for them to cry anyway as it releases the pressure in their ears.

I think the cabin crew might keep chuppachups on hand, but you would have to ask for them.

That seemed to work well and he never cried. We only used a number 2 (3 month) teat so that he had to suck a decent amount to get the water out and also so it wouldn't leak out everywhere so easily.
Good luck

I know about sucking helping, but he no longer takes a dummy, and is very on and off the nipple with a breastfeed, so can't see it helping. Will Pamol given before the flight help? Anything else that may help?
