Having said that, she had nappy rash before we started using them (a combination of homemade MCN's and snazzipants which we have been using for months) so I don't think they were the trigger.<br /><br />I've been using the vasoline on top of everything else (ecostore nappy balm and curash) and it looks like things are starting to clear.]]>

Neutralises the acid (or is it alkaline... cant remember)<br /><br />We also use Gaia nappy Powder- which is just cornflour with natural lavender. Turned out it was thrush - as mentioned before.  It looks very much the same.<br /><br />We used an antifungal cream (Canesten) and continued with the Zinc and Castor oil barrier cream.  <br /><br />With DD#1 we used the Zinc and Castor Oil and have been using it with DD#2.  I swear by it.  The only time we ever had problems was with teething.]]>

Just&nbsp;whisk it up a bit and paint it on. It disappeared at a snail's pace and we tried so many things. This is what worked:<br />- as much nappy off time as possible<br />- wiping with water and muslin cloths (no wipes)<br />- Sebamed as barrier cream (from pharmacy)<br />- Micreme as mentioned above (prescription)<br /><br />]]>

The vaseline kept the Sudocream on DD's bum instead of just coming off on her nappy,<br /><br />Micreme H works wonderfully on fungal infections too.]]>

With this humidity we've been having lately, it's perfect weather for it! Natalie had a rash recently that didn't clear up quickly (and she never really gets nappy rash), so I used some anti-fungal cream which cleared it up overnight. If you don't want to use a medicated product, something with tea tree oil or paw paw might help too, as both those have anti-fungal properties.]]>

Are we destined to deal with this until she is TT?<br /><br />Also did you find some foods exacerbated it? I'm not giving her any acidic foods but am at a loss as to what is causing it (other than teething).]]>
