Awesome girls, thanks for the advice. I have taken your advice and went and had a great chat to our local Porse. Yeah I agree about using Porse or similar. They give really good support & access to resources for their carers.

My SIL looks after our kids and she uses a local home-based care company. I would recommend getting hooked up with something like porse as they would offer your mum a lot of support and they also have the added benifit of provide outings and playgroups for you mum to attend with your daughter. If u go through porse or similar agency, they can provide education for your mum for age appropriate activities/ first aide etc, and some supply toys/ have discounts to baby gym classes and other activities organised that you mum will be able to attend with your girl.

Hey ladies!

I haven't been around much as I'm a MIA Feb 09 mum, but I would love some advice guideance regarding childcare for 2010.

I'm heading back to full time work, and my mum has offered to look after my baby who will be one by then.

We are considering go through an agency such as porse or paua. Or maybe just employing her ourselves.

We will of course be paying her so...

Could anyone offer advice about payment?
advantages of going through an agency etc?
