You take it just as AF starts and it makes it like a 1/4 of the flow and way shorter!

I used to get really heavy AF before baby (up once a night sometimes twice a night) and was prescribed tranexamic acid. It was fantastic and just helped to reduce the 'flow'.

I get very painful AF as well tho it is much better when i'm on the pill. It got worse after i had my 2nd child, and when i had my 2nd my cycles went from 28-30 days to 21days

It's probably worth it if there are lots of clots anyway.

Pre pregnancy I found the pill was the best thing for me - I went from eight days of very heavy, very painful bleeding to three or four days of no drama at all....post this baby...who knows!

BUT for me, that's pretty normal. My AF is 7 - 8 days, and some nasty person opened the flood gates for days 2, 3 and 4! During the day I wear a tampon and a pad. A night pad copes (just) if I change it 11pm and then 6 am - I had to switch what brand I used to get that though. In saying that, even before I had my daughter I was cursed with very heavy, painful, long periods.
