I'd reccommend this one too, comfy, easy to clean the cover (chuck in the washing machine - think sick ), easy to get the child in and out.

As for why you should keep your child rearward facing, it is because in an accident, if your child is facing rearwards, in a serious crash, their spine is protected by the carseat.. they might break their leg/s if in a really bad crash.. and well, if you have them facing forwards too early, they will come off a lot worse in a crash. Plunket (and others) might be suggesting that you turn them around before 1 year, but I wouldn't recommend it, even if they are getting long. I can find the studies that were done on this if you want me to.

Edited by meow

I have heard good things about safe and sound seats, but they are expensive. Still I think its worth spending the money being so important to our kids safety! Would love to hear what seats people recommend too!
