I won another auction last night so for those 15 plus the 5 from a previous auction works out to $10.55 per nappy so am happy with that

Yep its always handy to have a few extra, just in case!

I thought it was pretty good, as when I looked at her auctions just for 1 was $15.90 or buy from there site they are $19.90 each

my mum also got me 2 from baby factory so have 7 atm

You definately got a good deal. I've been using mybaby nappies on DD since she was about 3/4 weeks old and find them good only had the occassional poo leak but on ones that would have exploded out of a sposie. They are on the tightest setting for her and are definately Daddy friendly.

I also use prefolds and flats which I find great and some fitted pockets. I definatly prefer the fitteds but can't really justify buying more atm! I'm not sure how many nappies I have now but enough for about 4 days for just day use which is way more than I intended on having! That is an outstanding deal! I used prefolds and covers with Tom to start with and then moved on to bumgenius (similar to the ones you have bought) at about 10 weeks. IMO you are better off just using old fashioned flats with a good cover for newborns (especially if you are on a budget)... then when they get a bit older invest in a good system... or prefolds - cause i dont think they are any more expensive than flats really. both flats and prefolds can be incorporated into any good pocket system too...

oh also some people find that OSFA dont fit that well on newborns... but they may fit better when bub gets a bit older...

You got a great deal on the nappies! I've got a mybaby nappy, and to start with I didn't like it, but after a few more washes and getting the inserts sorted they really are good for the money - the hook and loop closing on them holds up really well, and they're very dad friendly.

At the moment I use 10 nappies for 2 days (just daytime) so I wash every night. Looks good, although I dont like velcro.

We have a three hourly cycle so I work out roughly how many changes we do in a day and add a few more, then double it so that we have one whole day to use while the previous day is in the wash.
