We remove ours for swims, showers and baths.

The reason you are supposed to take them off in water etc is because it can cause the silk to rot.

We take ours off for baths and swimming, just because I dont want it sitting in the crease in his neck all wet.

We only take it off if he is going into a chlorinated pool. we do... and the literature says to, but prob only because its a resin (hardened) and will wear away/dissolve a lot quicker I imagine if wet... esp hot water. I dont suppose its a safety thing.

Do you ladies keep teething necklaces on your children when they are in the bath/swimming? We have never taken our sons necklace off, but over christmas we noticed a couple of friends did every time their children got wet.

I have checked the information we got with the necklace and it doesn't mention anything about this.
