We have used Penny Nicols too - but she only did black and white, I was a kindy fundraiser.

I second the votes for Momentz too! We used Sarah and she was fantastic! You could try starting up a thread to see if others want to share the cost of flying her down as I'm sure there were others that might be interested.

We got sarah from momentz down too, because we got a group of us to do it she gave us a discount. So take that plus split the travel costs it only cost us $160 for our package which was brilliant. I had photo's done of my kids, DH and myself done when DS was 8 weeks old by Ladybug photography. I highly recommend Ladybug.

I found it really helpful that Ladybug (Ange) came to my house for the photo shoot. So worth the money. I was not at all rushed, in fact if I can remember I had to BF my wee son at the time and Ange was happy to wait.

Think I paid $130 and got the CD with about 60 images in colour and black and white so approx 120 images all up. Ladybug has a fan site on face book if you want to look at more of her work.

Sarah from momentz photography (www.momentz.co.nz) did ours (I'm sure you've seen some on facebook!) - great pics and she is good with kids and very reasonable, and normally willing to travel if you pay the flight. Her session is only about $150 I think and you get a disk of over 50 pics plus one free enlargement .... may be worth paying for the flight if you can get a couple of people interested to split the cost? She comes on here sometimes, but I can't remember what her name is on here. We had Brendon Matthews do our wedding photos and loved him. Not sure if he does babies etc or what prices are but his website is below. He's got littlies so is good with kids.

I have taken so many photos of Keira that she now strikes a pose and looks into the camera haha, I have heaps on good ole facebook hehe, but am wanting to get some professional ones done in a proper studio (unlike my home made jobbies )

Can anyone recommend any photographers that they have used?
