Was just popping in to say the same thing (gave me something to google other than bf and TTC LOL).

AF was days Monday to Sunday, normal length/heaviness. The next Sunday, I had bleeding for 3 days, enough for me to think it was a light period. Then 3 weeks with nothing. Then EWCM for a day or two, then nothing for a few days. Then EWCM this time with a brown tinge on two occasions.

Have just looked up minipill and it looks like random bleeding is fairly normal - I just hadn't really expected it. not sure if it is any help but i was on the mini pill for about 5 years. My cycles were all over the place length wise in that time, anywhere from 26 days till maybe 50 or so. I must admit I never worried as I had faith in the pill, and was quite happy if AF took longer to show up. Never had much spotting though, maybe occasional brownish discharge mid cycle then only for a day or so.
The last 2 months I was on it I started having really heavy AF and quite short cycles and the Dr said my own hormones were over riding the pill and tried to change to another, but I decided to come off it anyway. Once I stopped my own cycles came back as normal straight away.

Oh, well in that case..not sure what the spotting after AF is as I have never had it so never researched it LOL though I am sure it is hormonal....

The blood with EWCM I still think could be ov....

Sheesh 8 weeks, I though 5 - 6 was long!

Another theory is, a bit too rough with the special cuddles and its agrravated the cervix and caused a little bleed...

I don't think I'm UTB - no signs (well nausea and tiredness but that's cos Dan's sleep turned to crap on holiday and I get nauseous when I'm tired) but boobs and tastebuds are fine! I can go up to 8 weeks with no period so I'm not too concerned about that. My cycle's just weird.

I'm just wondering what the spotting is about

EWCM is not reliable as a sole source of ov detection... I get it pretty much all cycle long these days * sigh*

I wouldnt think the spotting would be implantion given its proximity to AF (though not impossible) could have been early ov.... the blood tinged EWCM could be ov... I would wait another week for AF as that would be 2 weeks since the EWCM and if no AF test or head to the GP. Probably way TMI but what the heck!

I'm on the minipill, can't go on normal pill for medical reasons. I'm really confused by my cycle. Between 28 and about 38 days (though I need to properly keep check). This cycle, had AF for a week. One week later, had spotting for 4-5 days. I wondered if it was OV or implantation but doesn't seem to be. About 3 weeks later, I got EWCM with blood in it twice, and a week later, no AF.

Can anyone interpret for me?

Also, how reliable is EWCM if you're on the MP (which works by increasing the CM from memory)?
