Josiah looks around with a really proud grin! He's just started to realise what's going on with his body, and is (typical boy) very proud of any noises he produces. Whenever Andre lets on go he always says "Pardees Andrew" in a really low gruf voice. He is so cute doing it. Im comfy farting around my kids!!! Oh I am like that to Roxy, man the first time I farted in front of my hubby I just about died (he was only boyfriend then) but I had the worst stomach ache from holding it in it just about killed me. I remember making him block his ears!! Now he wishes he never tried to make me feel comfortable about farting in front of him cos I dont every burp so fart heaps (so he says anyway) hehe. My family are the same except one sister. I've had almost everything waxed on my body but there. I almost had it done just before my wedding with the bikini wax. She ripped half the bloody hairs off just for the bikini. yeah downtown was the place i was thinking of.   Has looked into studio 31 though - i think it's about $60 for first time and $35 for ones after that provided they are within 6 - 7 weeks. hhhm, well, now that we know these things lol..

OMG knees to the chest???!!!! I had not thought of the actual act of getting it done, I could never do that I would be to embarrassed. Ive never even been game enough to get a normal wax done but Im presuming you dont have to do that, please tell me you dont cos I was thinking of getting one soon before I start swimming again. Janine I saw that place in Palmy and tried to get my friend to come with me but she's to scared it'll hurt. And this is the person who is getting her vagina reconstructed (very horrible birth) after waiting 2 years. I don't think she knows what sort of pain she is going to be in after she comes out of the general.

The mooncup thing again. I had a look on trademe (well I DH to after I told him about them) and they are brand spanking new $48 off there. I'm not all that keen on using one myself but if anyone is looking at it you can get them cheaper there.

i dont even find it embarrassing - i got my first one 1 month after x was born (figured nothing would hurt after that) and have been regularly geting them ever since.
My therapist has shapes, and is slowly growing out my "landing strip" so i can have an arrow put in there.... just a wee treat for the midwife

Before baby I used tampons day and night, but things just aren't the same up there anymore so after baby I preferred to use pads at night. Not sure if I could cope with washable ones tho?

And (here comes TMI) am I the only one who feels like the tampon is going to fall out unless it's a super? actually now that you mention it, i always used to hate pads too, until i had the big pads the hospital give you after birth. Now when i think of pads i think of these lovely big squishy things that soothed and relieved. oh thats gross, sorry but the less i have to deal with the bleeding the better so no emptying cups or washing pads for me. I must admit though Im a bit naughty and take the pill the whole month through so dont get my period and only take a break every few months (thats when Im not pregnant of course). Mooncup - because women used to chart their cycles by the different phases of the moon. I used to do it the same way, way back once upon a time when my cycle was somewhat normal. You can buy calendars that have which phase of that month's moon falls on which day etc.

They're flexible rubber though, so would think they'd conform to your inner shape rather than stretch you out - or at least I would hope so ! OK totally into the money saving thing, but I have decided to draw the line at reuseable pad's there are some thing's a girl just has to have. I am more then happy to use the cloth nappies I even use the old fasion one's I am even totally happy to use the reuseable booby pad's (have you seen the price of disaposeable one's), but I totally draw the line at pad's sorry just my opion.

For me it is has nothing to do with the 'gross' factor, but more the comfort / laziness factor - I have never really liked the feeling of having a pad in there or sitting on them, but I realise also that after bubs is born I will just have to get used to it, and would therefore find the transition to cloth pads a lot easier if I were to use them.

I was mostly loyal to tampons too before I got pregnant, but I was a lot more active then too and tampons were more suitable.

I have heard of moon cups before too, and would consider that as an alternative as well I guess, but initially didn't realise that you have to empty out the blood directly from the cup - and this could be tricky (read: higher gross factor) if not at home etc.

Am also considering buying a mooncup - latex tampon substitute type thing. Apparently they last 10yrs+ for around $60!! They come in 2 sizes - for those who have and haven't given birth! Am having a quiet chuckle at those who haven't delivered bubies though. I used to be a Tampons girl too lolol, - i used to think Pads were DISGUSTING!!! ick how could anyone want to use them.   just a wee heads up - After having paris and being stitched upways, and sideways and frontways.. using tampons just plain hurts and always has leakage somehow anyway TMI sorry. so.. lol, you may rethink your preferances after having kiddies, i know i now actively avoid TP's unless i am caught short (much more discreet to carry round in purse for just in case) lolol. May be different for others but just noting how much priorities change... even the little things.

My housemate was vegan and used bit of flannel she used to leave soaking in buckets. it was really really gross. I don't know if you have to do the same thing, but I think that experience put me off anything like that. Also didn't use washing powder or deoderant. Aaaah the joys of flatting...and don't even get me started on the guy with one leg....

mama cloth (aka washable menstrual pads)?! I initially thought but I've been really curious since getting hooked on cloth nappies and so have been trying them for the last few days. And you know what - they are soooo much nicer cos they have a microfleece top layer! Hopefully not TMI!
