I think it was actually filmed out past Maraetai Clevedon here near Auckland from what I have heard

I always think it must be so frustrating for the family who have to speak Maori to try and communicate to the other families what they are trying to say, they must feel like just blurting it out in English sometimes! Has anyone been watching this on TV One? I have really enjoyed it and it has given me a real appreciation for the Maori language.
