Bethany was the result :-)  Being worried is totally normal, I think I was a serial undie checker until the day she was born, although once we passed the 12wk mark I relaxed a little, then a little more after the 24wk (viable) mark, and so on and so forth.  Remember that having one miscarriage doesn't make you prone to have another one, scary as it feels.  <br /><br />Big, big hugs remember you're not alone and this bubs has every chance of being the one you hold in your arms :)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley31.gif" border="0"> ]]>

You never stop worrying, and after a m/c it's even worse, but with the help of a supportive DP and MW, it is manageable, and 1 m/c doesn't necessarily mean another...nor does 2 m/c....or 3 m/c (I had 3 and then we got our girls, so we did get a happy ending eventually <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">)]]>

I had a missed miscarriage found at 12 week scan so each scan I was a nervous wreck and couldn't look at screen until I heard "oh theres baby". I was hugely scared up until about 20 weeks.  I also bought a doppler around 10 weeks so I could put my mind at rest and listen to the hb when I was feeling panicky.  <br /><br />Try to enjoy this time as much as you can and not worry too much - sending lots of sticky baby vibes <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0"> ]]>

Im still serial undie checking, and Im 22 weeks!  (I wonder when that will stop??)<br />I must admit that Ive found it a bit harder to bond with this one, once youve had a MC the innocence of PGcy is taken away.. But still try to enjoy it and take each day as it comes.<br />I had a few extra scans in the early weeks, I think I had had 3 before 12 weeks.  And serial HCGs.  Definately helped ease my mind.  <br />I have an anterior placenta and got a doppler 1 week ago, 1 day later I could feel bubs kick finally!  <br />So yes, its totally normal, and your MW/GP should try to do what they can to put your mind at ease <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

My little girl was born on the 1st of Jan totally healthy so try not to worry, just because you have had one miscarriage doesn't necessarily mean you will have another! Best of luck with the next 9-10 months!<br /><br />Paranoid - oh yeah, absolutely normal, and with good reason!  I was a complete fruitcake until around 20 weeks (as the other ladies in my forum could tell you) then I started to relax.  I suspect you'll worry about tiny little things as potential problems - although try not to if you can (I feel a complete hypocrite typing that).  Let your midwife know about your anxiety - like Lillibit my midwife was completely understanding and I had a few early scans in an attempt to reassure me.]]>

I got pregnant two weeks post D&C. I think it's human to be less trusting with this pregnancy just try not to stress about it. I have a very accomodating midwife and ended up having 7 scans in total by 24 weeks, I also got my own doppler which was my saving grace really as could hear HB from 10 weeks. In some ways this pregnancy has been harder than first as I had bleeding with this one (none with miscarriage) but also found my increased morning sickness especially from 8 weeks on was reassuring. <br /><br />Goodluck for the rest of your pregnancy. ]]>
