The sleep store has some really good info about dream feeds.

Like others have said, I think she is still a bit young for it - I think the recommendation is about 8-9 weeks.

Thanks. Got her up last night at 10.30 and she wouldn't even open her mouth! So just put her back to bed and she woke up two hours later... I'm thinking of trying a dream feed for Willow tonight as she has started waking twice during the night looking for a feed. Is she to old to be trying now? What age are you normally suppose to start?

Just to go against the grain, we did this very early on.

At first it was a breast feed and he was hopeless but I figured getting anything in him was good, after about 2 months it was a bottle feed and we just kept it as dark as we could and barely moved him.

Bottle was ready before we went in, just lifted him kept him pretty much horrizontal and just fed him, sometimes a bit of rocking and then down again worked for us

Yep, I reckon there's something to it as they get a little older - I had the same kind of challenge when DD2 was tiny but by about 3-4months we had it sussed. She might be a little young yet? I tried a dreamfeed last night with DD with the same results as you, she fell asleep on the breast in under 5 minutes and it was a struggle to get her to latch on in the first place as she was so sleepy. She woke up at her usual time too so I don't think I'm going to bother trying it again for another month or so.

How do you do it successfully?

With breast I have trouble getting DD to feed a proper amount, she falls asleep. With the bottle she ends up being fully awake and it takes a good while to get her back to sleep.
