DON"T be scared or embarassed to get it checked out if you are really worried and haven't felt bub move for a while and he doesn't start after trying all the tricks.
I know it sounds morbid but I have had a few friends/acquantinces lose or almost lose their babies in the past year and early monitoring/detection could have saved them. Don't want to scare anyone but noone talks about these things and it should be talked about. Better to be safe than sorry and remember that is what you midwife/LMC is there for!!!!

Funny how you can have a really quiet week and then POW! The kicking starts and it just goes and goes...I am sure yours is the same as mine, just getting lots of sleep and maybe gets stuck in a funny position where it is hard to move for a few days and then once they get out of it they have a little party in there...

Perhaps he's packing on a bit at the moment?
My little maternity care plan book says less than 10 movements in 12 hours is cause for concern. Maybe you could do a little movement tally to track how much he's actually moving about?
Definitely call your midwife if you don't feel reassured soon. Don't worry about what she'll think, she gets paid to look after you and bubs.

If you don't get 10 in the hour...start over. This was the best test I've read about in several places.

If that fails then you should give your midwife a call. You'll probably be surprised though how quickly you reach 10 movements even with a quiet bubba!

I'm sure everything will be fine.
