I think we should use it for chatting & charting as that's what we do. Questions about charting and TTC come up as we chat. It's too hard have a thread for every different topic. yeah it will be a bit confusing to start i think, but i have to agree its blardy hard to catch up on everyones gossip every day if you cant be on here all day long (which would be lovely if i could tho!) and the charting thread should just be for charting info i reckon or all else gets lost amongst the gossip! it would just make it easier i think..and the waiting to ov threads and TWW thread seem the place to chat and pass the time really...jmo..

Im thinking the same thing BK! i wanted to put my chart somewhere but dont want to put it in a thread that is only about charting as then it will be controled by TTC. i know that this 'area' of OB is about TTC but im not letting it control me at the moment. i want to be in a thread that i can talk about other things as well and give people support weather its for TTC or other things. maybe the chat thread is for me (but then ill miss my charting friends)

Had to check what Kelz was referring to, sorry H! I recall Tarns used to say that either her or DF were always sick at ov time too. We were grumpy last time but that was because we did it too much and got sick of each other, lol!

AandCsmum she needs to use a under the tongue thermometer. Ideally it should be to two decimal points as it's more accurate for charting. A short AF could be just that, short. But if wasn't at the right time it can indicate other things, like ov bleeing or implantation bleeding. Do you know when in her cycle they did bloods. If it's after when she ov'd they will be checking the hormone levels to check progesterone went up confirming that she is ovulating.

MO try not to take your temp during the day, itll just drive you mad... your temp can fluctuate wildly during the day for almost any reason! mine does that too- i can take my temp a few times in a row sitting in the same spot and it can be a bit different each time.. the only ones that matter are when you have just woken up after more than 3 hours of sleep, and you havent got out of bed or anything.. so id not worry about what its doing now and take your temp in the morning...
but i do suggest getting a BBT one, itll make your temp patterns on your chart so much clearer..

and as for scan pics- i have absolutely no problem with anyone sharing them- gives us hope and reminds us of what we are striving for i like them anyways! especially when some of us have been ttc for so long, for them to feel like they cant come and share the good news would be really sad..i mean, on the clomid thread some ladies on there have been TTC for as long as 6 YEARS yet they still manage to be happy for one another and share scan pics etc when they happen and celebrate the good times..surely we can too??

I'll send her the link to FF website. She doesn't have a computer at home only at work unless my brother is around for the weekend & then she has his laptop.

She has had bloods done, poor thing fainted, not sure what they were looking for, possibly just an across the board range of stuff! She's also been for a scan to have a looksee, lucky I warned her it could be an internal one

She has a really short AF so I'm not sure what that means, maybe you guys can tell me?

Is it like that when you take your temp in the morning? I have never temped during the day so maybe because you awake and doing stuff so it can change easily. Who knows. I say if it's still like that after a few days of taking your temp in the morning you should get a new one otherwise you will always question the reading it gives you.

its digitgal. according to the booklet a battery shaped symbol appears on the display when the battery is going flat. and it doenst have that.

My first thermometer I bought was a bit dodgy so I ditched it and bought a new one. Is it digital? May sound like a silly question but I got duped and talked into buying a "special" mercury ovulation thermometer. Hey girls, sorry to add fuel to the fire, I hate doing that as sometimes in life it is so about just moving on.
I used to be a regular poster in here and I still lurk (I now hang out in the clomid pill poppers section) as there are a number of ladies that are here that I used to chat with regularly. Shezzy, Jazzy, Freckle, Oxy and others.
From memory and correct me if I'm wrong girls but we did used to hang out a lot in the three threads, we either chatted a lot in the waiting to O thread or tww, the charts thread was just to check out others charts and offer advice and support etc.
I know things can get pretty hormonal and heated but I don't ever remember so many people getting upset and wanting to leave in the time I've been on OB. I hope you guys can sort it all out, it seems in my time on OB we've never had to resort to rules or even really looking at rules, it went without saying. You guys all seem such a lovely bunch and for the majority of woman on here we come on here for support, advice, to vent to share, celebrate and commisserate (whoops sp)!!!! I'm sorry to see that Sheezy has gone, she has been such a great support to many even when she has had such a long journey herself - which speaks highly of the tye of person she is. Anyway guys, I hope you can all work it out to enjoy OB for the place it was designed to be.

ok i hate my thermometer. its a "bodicheck" brand normal digital one from the chemist. and i just took my temp 4 times.
35.8, 36.1, 36.5 and then 35.9

I think we take this back to a charting thread. No offense to anyone not charting & visiting, but I think pg issues go to that thread, there is a chat thread set up for that, there are dd ones & now a scan one there is also the gallery.

There has been a lot of bad feelings in her lately & for me it started with the last lot of big pg's, there were ones who were upset with the ones who got BFP, some that go them got offend some that were upset then went on to get bfp, then there was the latest issue, but that is all in the past now.

I think it is time to move on & those of us who are charting it is time to support each other, we are the only ones who know what we are going through, we are still waiting for our BFP, lets enjoy or thread, it used to be a safe happy place.

If we have to we kill this thread & start one for charting, that has to be better than people charting leaving, god how boring it would be if I had only my chart to look at

my GP told me to have these bloods done approx 7 days before AF is due. lol yep if they don't know when/if you ov they just send you on CD21 because if you have a perfect cycle (dont know many that do!) you would ov on CD14 so CD21 would be 7dpo. 7dpo is when your progesterone peaks in your LP apparently.

The first time I got sent for CD21 bloods my GP rang me back 3 times to keep going in and getting tested to try to pinpoint when I was oving lol.

Charting will take longer to figure out an ov day than that tho....

Toni - the gyno did and internal and siad given where i was in my cycle i would have had bad pain if i had endo and other than that no checks for it.

i know im not chucking from pg MS as test on thur at dr's right before AF started was BFN.

i asked my mum if i had this when i first started at 15 and she said i was nauseus for a few weeks so yay i know why.

i guess i will just have to watch to make sure its after 4hrs otherwise it wont be affective for contraception. and as im now confirmed as being allergic to condom lubricant i kind of need it to be effective, especially as the 6month wait after M/c hasnt been past yet (thats how long my dr said to wait)

dont be sorry CandCsmum! your welcome! is your SIL on Fertilityfriend? best thing to do is chart for a couple of cycles then take them to the doc to look at, and ask for bloods to confirm if she is oving or not..GL to her too!

Spanky, have you heard of Blackmores P.C.I.P? linky My naturopath put me on it when I was having trouble TTC it helps to clean everything out apparently & it can help raise Iron levels. MO i wouldnt know sorry..but that is abnormally long imho... do you have endo by any chance? could explain the super heavy long periods.. sometimes your body can go a bit haywire when you start the pill- its your body getting used to the foreign hormone amounts in your system..if you keep throwing up tho id go back to the doc and get them to check you out.. hugs doll.

its so weird, although my cycle is completely and utterly up the wop this time around, i cant shake the feeling that i could still be in with a chance.. i guess time will tell..

I do know since my mc my AF has changed heaps and the doc said thats normal???? oh and the nausea on my chart is cos i have thrown up twice. im not sure if its cos if my lunch, or starting the pill or if its cos the local anaesthtic in my foot from yesterday (ingrown toenail removal) has finally worn off but man i feel sick still.

i had two days of spotting before i got proper medium flow.

i normally have heavy (like 6 super pads a day) for the first 7, then medium (4 super pads a day) for 3 days then light -medium for 1-4days.

they have progressively gotten worse over the last year and the mc didnt help. it stuffed them to the point where i had that cycle with 10days of nothing/light spotting in between.

i know they arent normal but even when i was on the pill i was 8days of heavy (as i described earlier)

Wow MO, that is a long period! Have they always been that long? Are you asking because you don't usually have spotting at the end? I don't get spotting towards the end, I would say it was more light but I guess it's how you define it. Maybe the pill is changing it a bit.
