Is yours the one where you need iron sups? I ate lots of apricots while I've was pregnant though both times & had good iron levels. My thyroid was swollen after birth but is back to normal now.

I'm not sure if anything was specifically related to thyroid issues though.

    Author: Hopes
Subject: 31223
Posted: 28 January 2010 at 4:25pm

My thyroid has a history of playing up and overdoing things. I was on medication for ages, but it naturally went into remission a bit more than a year ago, and has been pretty good since (I miss being able to eat family-sized pizzas all by myself, though ). Both my MW and my Dr have said, however, that these things can often flare up again in pregnancy. They’ve arranged regular blood tests, but I wondered if any of you ladies have had troubles with this, and if so, has being pregnant caused a flare-up? And if it did, what complications did it cause?
