I'd buy some of each. March is generally pretty warm I think, though I guess then you're heading into spring, so it can be a bit changeable.

At the moment during the day I've got two light (thin) cotton wraps that I mainly use (they look like muslin, in fact I thought they were) and he wears either a singlet or just a nappy and at night we only put him in a singlet or short sleeves now and I wrap him in a miracle wrap which is cotton and a thin waffle blanket that is doubled over - but I'm interested to hear what others do too as never know if he's over/under dressed.

Merino wraps are awesome.

We have muslin wraps and merino wraps. We rarely use the muslin wraps because the merino ones are great at keeping him warm in colder weather but not making him too hot in warmer weather.

I would say get both short-sleeve and long sleeve tops and aio's. Sometimes Jude gets hot during the day so we sleep him in just his singlet but during the night we always sleep him in long sleeves (he is sleeping with his arms out of the wrap now, so his arms get cold).

It really depends on your baby and where you live though. We live in Dunedin and Jude is not a very hot baby (he usually likes a blanket on him for sleeping even in hot weather - I'm the same ). However, my sister lives in the Bay of Plenty and uses her muslin wraps a lot! I think her baby must prefer less solid blankets on him than Jude. Help....I want to buy a couple of baby wraps and don't know what to get....do I get warm ones and dress him in a aio and a singlet and wrap him up at night or do I wrap him in muslin wraps or something...or do I do short sleeves with a merino wrap or long sleeves with a muslin...do I have to put a blanky over his body if he is wrapped...Oh talking about a newborn here....
