I was hoping to make either creme brulee or creme caramel (very similar). I've looking on the net but can't find a solid answer as to if i can eat these desserts.

I'm aware i can't eat raw egg and both these desserts are baked so the egg is set, but they both have to be cooled prior to eating. The guide of food i can eat mentions that homemade custard has to be eaten hot and never cold.

Can anyone confirm please?

Since they don't specify, I'd imagine off the shelf is fine (it's heat-treated, I'm confident it would be).

It's odd, though, I have SO gone off mayo. I was sceptical about the bottle in the fridge (wasn't sure how long it had been open) so bought myself a new one - one try and I was gagging, it was dreadful. I hope I get my mayo-liking taste buds back post preggy!
