With the whole 'false positive thing' another possibility is that the egg and spermy may have 'met' but never implanted. HUgs Kelly...but I had to chuckle..I read that you would "go back to the original plan of ttc in December" I raised an eyebrow thinking "THAT was the original plan?....my arse!" you would have to be the worst at keeping to a plan   Then I turn the page and see the date has been brought forward till June...he he he.

Thanks guys

Im ok , or I will be , Im just a bit bummed, but I know its really not the right time for us .
One good thing thats come out of it , is that its made me realise how much I do want another one , might talk to Dh about moving our TTC plans up from December to this june instead :-)

For now I will focus on the 2 beautiful children I definetly DO have and look forward to trying for a sibling for them later on ....

and hopefully stupid AF will decide to show her face soon !

Never mind last comment, the nurse just rang, levels haven't increased, so im definetly not pregnant .
Not sure what that line on the test was , pretty F*cking annoying actually , not sure if it was an evap , a dud or a false pos,but either way im not impressed and wont be using clearblue again .

The guidelines for hCG in NZ are that anything below 5 is considered negative, however it comes with the disclaimer that it may not discount early pregnancy if the blastocyte has not yet started producing hCG.

at this point, an increase in general would be good, as the increase is meant to be double every 2-3 days, so from a start point of 2, testing the next day, may only mean you rise to 3 (or even 2.5!), and it still may be a VERY early pregnancy. If it rises tomorrow, they may make you wait a week in order to get a better increase to determine a pregnancy (as they are usually confirmed at an hCG of 25).

not really im afraid , did a blood test yesterday , results came back at 2, which ive read enough about to know are negative, even tho the nurse said it wasn't neg and wasn't positive, who is she trying to fool ?

I found with any of the "Quick" brands I always got false negatives. Thats why I went to the supermarket and bought some of the dipstick ones from there.

Can't remember what brand they were but they weren't the Quick ones. Thanks guys, I feel a bit more hopeful , Af is due either today or tomorrow, and its not over til shes here , could be that ALL the tests are wrong ,that the clearblue was a false pos but that the BFNs are just cos I don't have enough HCG in them yet, I didn't get a BFP with Ty til AF was a day late

I just tested again , with a quick card ,and it was a BFN , so I guess im not UTD.
Surely it would be more likely to get one false BFP than 4 false BFNs .

My af is due today , so it wil probably come toorrow , I feel pregnant, but its probably just pms .

You can definately get false +ives.. I have had them and had HCGs done and 0 so not chemical pg.

Kelly I dont think its a false though with it that dark, mine were faint... dark enough to know its a line (ie DH could see them) but way lighter than that...

Since this pg I no longer believe FMU is alwasy best.. if T has you up during the night and pee and/or drink while you are up then your pee is going to be diluted so even if you have a midstream test I would personally catch your pee in a cup until its nice and dark LOL ALL my HPT's (until about 16DPO) were darker with afternoon pee than fmu...

I've always used Clear Blue and never had a false positive. Had plenty of duds where NOTHING comes up (not even the control) though.

Yeah I would think a false BFP would be no where near as dark and convincing as that!! GL hun! (And I say get a discover if you can...
