Lou it's about this age that the gripping relfex fades away and they learn to actually control the opening and closing of their hands.

Could he be just learning that "Oh no I don't wan to grab that, pull hand away"

That probably sounds really dumb. My boy is just about 10 weeks old and me and DH are concerned about his gripping reflex. anytime we touch his hands he pulls them away......he also doesnt grip our finger if we place it in his palm.

I cant remember if he did this when newborn, so i was wondering if anyone else has a baby about the same age that isnt gripping your fingers etc to put my mind at rest that at this age its normal.....???
