DS had no schedule and would (almost) never sleep through a transfer. I'd just wind it.
I know that doesn't sound very helpful, but what I'm trying to say is that at first I'd be very worried about disturbing his sleep/feed times then I came to accept that with no schedule and a not-good-sleeper I'd just keep going and do the best I can.
Even now there are days where I stay home and let him control the days, then there are other days I go out at my convenience and he just has to go with it. I have to be somewhere at least twice a day with having a boy at school

So what do i do. In the morning I will wake Jesse no later than 20mins before i have to leave if hes not already awake. this gives me time to feed him and change him then off in the car we go

If hes just gone down and i have to go out i will chuck him straight over into carseat, but if hes been asleep a while, I will get him up and normally after a min or two will be able to tell if hes gonna stay asleep or if hes gonna need a feed before we go so we dont get caught out half way with him being due for a feed.

He seems to fit in just nicely to the day and i am quite amazed how good a team we make as i was very worried it would be harder than this. Helps hes a really laid back baby and just goes with the flow

We do have a routine now so it helps, he always up around 7am-8am ish, Hes always waking from a sleep around 1130ish, so i always go to shops about 12ish, so i am heading back in time for 3pm school pick up. Jesse just continues on his eat play sleep routine no matter where we are......

I always make appointments for just after feed time...means the girls are fed and happy and therefore more obliging to their poor mum while we're out Thankfully they do have a routine though. If they wake early, we just play until they're hungry/it's feed time, then feed, and leave. yeah I might end up doing just that. If he's asleep, leave him asleep and into the car.
If he's awake, feed him then go.

The hard part is actually being out, he doesn't sleep so well except in his Moby which isnt always possible to put him in.

I have no routine for him and we just go with whatever he throws our way.

Will just have to work with it.

I also did the put him in the capsule as I was leaving the house thing.... mostly he would go back to sleep and then would just feed him when he wanted it... I did try and "control" it for a while and realised it was just stressing me out and we were both a mess so realised it was easier to just go with it.

I hated bfing in public as I have big boobs and short arms and it was just awkward but practise made perfect and its a breeze now...

We dont have a routine (yet) so I cant really plan to be anywhere at a certain time.

If I do want to go out, ill wait until I have fed Hunter and he is ready for a sleep. No routine here meant no time was a bad time to leave the house I would just offer her a feed before we left and generally that would last her till we got home. In terms of sleep - babywearing is the best! so far we have just lucked in that he was awake..(or should have been asleep and wasnt) and he would cry in capsule for a few mins then sleep ) it actually helped =him sleep. so just lucky really

but i had the same issue as you with Ethan..nothing really helped till he was older and more in routine..

If I'm out and she needs to sleep I just put her in the moby. When Jackson was little (and now I guess) we try to make appointments around his sleep but if we cant we just transfer him from his cot to capsule about 2 minutes before we leave.

Callum was in a fairly settled day routine around Mac's age so I tried to make appointments during his awake time (usually morning worked best for us at that age). Otherwise, I would do what some of the others have said and leave him right till the last minute and then transfer him to the capsule and hope he went back to sleep.

How does everyone deal with appointments that they have to go to?

I try to Wake Mac up 30 min-1 hour before we go and he either WON'T wake up or he wakes up waaaay earlier than I need/want.
I can get him to sleep while we are out but it's obviously not a efficient/restful sleep.

Then I find he ends up all out of whack for the next day or 2. All his times and routine end up all up the stuff, he gets overtired, won't feed properly, won't sleep, etc and I end up having to spend a few days at home doing nothing except trying to get him back in line.

How do you all deal with it?
