DS gets a nasty burny rash when he's teething really badly and I swear by Weleda Nappy Change Cream - freaking awesome stuff!!!

Its the best thing we've tried and even better is that its completely natural.

i honestly wouldnt worry about the very small % of hydrocortisone in micreme H.

by 10 months old i was already on normal 0.5% cortisone for exchma. and by 2 i was already on high dose prednisone and phenergan and antihistanmies to get my exchma and astha under control.

as a result i fell off a swing onto grass and smashed my arm above nad below my elbow and dislocated my elbow too. at age 3!

We have had several bouts of exactly this- it got so bad she was on antibiotics for 2 weeks. Forban is really good (its an antibacterial). Also if he is in cloth put him in disposables until it clears up.

Mel, if you've got allergy's then the chances are he has as well. Hopefully a few more days will just show that it is the dairy affecting him. Yeah, I have used it... for thrush so do have some and will use it but this doesnt look like its fungal so dont think its the right thing iygwim...

Its really hot, poor monkey.. it doesnt seem to be hurting him so much today and its blotchy now rather than one whole big red patch so hopefully will mend quickly...

Melnel, my babe is the same, I put micreme H on straight away for the burnt areas, works really well. Then I use vaseline once its settled. I have spent loads on amazing creams but this really works for us.
I have to shower Milla with me until the area has settled and dont use any soaps on her while its sore

Funny you should mention Dairy.... he did have a lactose intolerance, I thought he had grown out of it but was wondering if this was the cause because he poo has that sour smell again....

I have taken dairy out of his diet again to see if helps... Only day 3 today so it will be a while before I can be sure.

Is he teething ? DD gets the burnt rash when shes is teething or if we haven't changed her fast enough too. I did try putting baking soda in the bath it seemd to help and nappy off time. I also use Tui balm every change to help prevent it burning.

Jake gets nappy rash if we dont change a pooey nappy almost immediately after he has done it.

Normally its just red patches or a bit thrush like (little bump things).

He poos a lot, 3 times a day on average but anywhere up to 6... which seems a bit excessive now he feeds less often and is on 3 solid meals a day plus snacks...

I have noticed the mucous is back but only small amounts, nothing like 5 months ago.

Anyhoo, this afternoon (after his 5th poo of the day.. which I oddly didnt smell with my pg super scent) he had a huge red patch (between his testicles and anus, pretty much the whole area). It isnt raised, not lumps or broken skin.. it looks like a burn tbh. It is the first time he is in obvious extreme pain from it...

Normally he has a bit of discomfort from his rashes but this one is BAD, he wont even sit on my hip it is hurting him so badly and normally with a rash he doesnt mind having cream put on but tonight ... jeepers didnt he scream when we put it on
