I didn't expect this because my let down is pretty spectacular so I thought she'd be used to having to control the flow. We might leave it again for a few weeks and try again when she's a little older. But any suggestions are welcome.

What helped was instead of cradling him and having him lying down, we sat him upright and he handled the flow a lot better. Once he had gotten used to the bottle, was a little older and wanted it to come faster - then we lay him down a bit more so gravity helped with the flow.

It's generally recommended that you loosen the lid just a bit, but we wanted DS to work for it. Even then, I think the #1 teat dripped a little. The #4 he's on now (7mths) drips a lot!

I assumed this would mean that it wouldn't drip and Kiara would have to suck on it to get fluid out. But after our first try with expressed breast milk yesterday we found that actually it drips without any sucking. Is this right or should it be harder for someone her age?
My concern is that she can be a little uncomfortably refluxy sometimes and she screamed her head off after the bottle feed because she'd drunk so quickly. Should we just give her more breaks, eg stop every 3 minutes or something to slow her down?
