At the docs i'm asking is it becasue she is too cold, should we heat her room up, she dribbles a lot so maybe she is getting a cold chest.&nbsp; The doc said its just one of those things.&nbsp; Set my mind at ease.</P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P>]]>

She would cough so much she would vomit which obviously distrssed her. We never noticed what i would call 'wheezing' though.<br /><br />The ventolin defintily cleared up the rattling too, and very quickly.<br /><br />As Tysmummy says, it hasn't been a biggie for us, and DD did have a chest infection once which was much more taumatic for her<br /><br />Let us know what the doc says <br /><img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18705">TysMummy</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 32149<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09 March 2010 at 8:24pm<br /><br />you have a good doctor doing xrays..covering everything............my boy has asthma after having RSV and hospitalised at 2mnths...started inhaler (blue at 1) only took this if he was coughing uncontrolable.........then i got new doctor and he started him on orange inhaler for day and night and has been primo since.........asthma isnt a biggie i would rather controlled asthma then infection as ABs (too much) break down imune system in the young..but the inhaler isnt all good either.......ask for the blue and give her 2 puffs when she is starting to cough and see how it goes....that is wat we did.........i had coughing like you daughter when i was young.......i have now grown out of it but have it re-occuring when i have flu or a majorly stressed (usually before dance comp) i also got it near the end of each pregnancy.......our house is so drafty that i wouldnt be surprised if mia got it too]]>

She would be coughing in the night and in the morning and Doc listened to her chest etc and seemed convinved that was it (after ruling out the chest infection)<br /><br />We got an inhaler for her and gave it to her three times a day for a week and it certainly improved things. After that the doc said just administer as needed, so we just give her a couple of blasts when she is sounding very coughy and rattly and it helps straight away. I have never noticed her fighting for breath though, but i suppose asthma can take a few forms.<br /><br />We have only had to use the inhaler on a handful of occassions since she was first diagnosed, and the doc said that most babies grow out of it by about two years old.<br /><br />Hope your wee one is ok soon <br /><br /><img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>
