Oh I never ended up getting one! We got a lazy boy for me to sit on (we had this huge couch that you couldn't sit up right on so was always slouching) and my bump finally popped out, baby musta been sitting up against my back, cos I got up one morning with this big tummy! And have hardly had a problem with my back since!!

Since then we got a new lounge suite- a nice leather one that you can sit normally in so I think the 2 combined really made a huge difference!!!

HunnyBunny, i know what it feels like to have a sore back and it really isnt nice at all Ive only got 5 weeks left so i have to just put up with the pain, also i always get a sore right pelvic bone thing, hard to explain lol.

I have lower back problems & suffered in all my pregnancies so I sympathise!

I became a big fan of the Carriwell range - the belly band is comfortable and has stretch & support below your bump and in the back. The support pants are good too, although they look hideous! The seamless bra is great for sleeping in & I would imagine the Light Support Top would be good, although I have not tried it.

Last time round I was lent some support belts by the physio at the hospital but found them really uncomfortable.

The best buy I made was a proper sleep pillow - it made a huge difference to how comfortably & well I slept & kept my hips well aligned & belly supported. I can't remember the name of the one I got, but it was a futon type and sort of an L shape with a pillow section and a full, contoured body length bit that kind of threaded under your belly for support then between your thighs and knees to align your hips - the closest I can find on Google is this:

EGG have them for $40. thats wher ei got mine from and its a godsend. Arthur Barnett should stock them. or can get them direct from the website. Have you asked your midwife for a referral to a physio? I was leant a support belt by th ehospital physio when I was seen for pelvic pain while preg with #1.

If the ones you suggested don't work, I'm not hesitating to buy one of these. Its really the only support belt I've heard anything about.. To be honest, right now, neither DH nor I care too much about cost. I thought smiley belts were more than that!!!

Ok so I put this in here in the hope more people will see it. I want to order/buy a support belt by tonight and need some opinions

I'm sick of waking up in pain and having a sore sore back all day. I'm hoping a support belt will help.

Only one I've heard of is the smiley belt, is there any others?
I don't really want to spend more than $80 or $100.
