I have never dieted in my life (aside from watching what I eat and eating in moderation, not that i'd call that dieting).

I have always been very active with sport, sometimes doing sport up to 5 days a week before moving to Aus almost 4 years ago. Since we moved here I would do a Step class maybe once a week or twice pre-pregnancy mainly to stay fit rather than to maintain weight.

I think I will give the complan a go. I guess you get that from a pharmacy or health food shop??

Carrie your not the first to say that. I've been getting it a lot in the last few months but didnt think about it much TBH until now.
Hmm might make a trip to the Dr and see what he suggests

I am pretty sure when I got info about it, there was more carbs than normal and also more dairy so maybe you just need to up these for a while...

Maybe a protein shake or two a day may help maintain your weight? You obviously don't want to be eating unhealthy foods to keep the weight on, so maybe the shakes could help? Hopefully someone will be able to give you some good advice. Author: WestiesGirl
Subject: 32343
Posted: 18 March 2010 at 2:18pm

Hmm not too sure where to put this so just put it in General. Anyways bare with me!

Pre-pregnancy I was 57kg and size 10-12 depending on style etc, during pregnancy I gained a healthy 17kg. Most of that being fluid retention, baby and placenta. By 6 weeks post birth I was back to pre-pregnancy weight again, 58kg (thanks to BF ).

Now almost 7 months post birth (still exclusively BF'ing) I continue to loose weight, not unhealthily but at a steady rate. My pants, shorts and favorite jeans dont fit and a lot of my tops are starting to get too big as well. And I look ridiculous (and am starting to feel that way too) in clothes that dont fit properly. I am constantly pulling my pants/shorts up which is a real PITA. I
dont want to go out and buy a new wardrobe because a) I know when I stop BF'ing I will return to my normal size and b) we cant afford for me to splash out on a new wardrobe that will only get 6 odd months wear out of (although that would be lovely )...

I dont exercise, except for once or twice a week when I go to the mall and do shopping. I eat 3 normal meals a day with snacks and sometimes dessert (I dont buy low fat or count calories, wouldnt know where to start even if I tried lol). We only have takeaways once a week and thats usually something like Indian.

I keep hearing from other Mums that they cant shift their baby weight and I just smile and think how nice it would be just to maintain a consistent weight . I have no idea of my current weight and TBH Im a bit scared to check it, eeek!!

So just wondering if anyone else has the same problem. And I would also greatly appreciate any suggestions on what I can do.
