pepsi, I'm admin on another FB group from another forum and one way I verified info was got people to post in a thread that they were joining with their initals (for those who didn't mind) it made it mostly easy to track who was who, then anyone who I didn't recognise easily I messaged. If they didn't post their user name within a week I would message them again and then remove if they still didn't.

Ok, the group cleanup is done.. Anyone I couldn't verify either by their username in the "what's your handle?" thread or by other means has been removed..but that's not to say they/you can't be re-added.. it's just that all future requests will be checked before approved..even if it means I am messaging them back to confirm the info (because there isn't anywhere on the request button to do so)...

Ok, so it looks like the majority want it more private, so I'm going to go through and check who has put their usernames (in some cases I know who you are already)... anyone else will be removed from the group, but of course can be re-added if they provide their username :)

Hi Ladies, I was just thinking about the facebook group OhBaby Addicts, which I set up ages ago, back before the official fan page was created.

It became a closed group just because of some weird stalker lady (long story), but it seemed sensible as well because some of us posted our usernames against our real names and not all of us wanted this to be "public knowledge"..

Anyway, now that the official page is running, I reckon the group really is more of something for those of us forum addicts (hence the reason I renamed it), as opposed to people who like OB but don't use the forums.

There is a discussion topic in the group where a large amount of us have given our usernames so people can identify us by our real names, however not everyone has chosen to do this.

So... My question is, would you rather make this group a place where you KNOW that every member is from these forums and who they are? In which case, everyone would need to provide their username so we can verify this, and anyone else gets deleted from the group?

This could mean a place to discuss topics you don't want visible to anyone else like nosey family members or stalkers since there is no locked thread here at OB?
