pepsi - I think Alyssa must have been sneaking your cellphone and txting Erin when neither of us was looking! We were at the doctor's office today to pick up a prescription, and I gave Erin my keys to play with. She was dribbling like a waterfall, nothing unusual there. A couple minutes passed and I heard a wee burp / hiccup, glanced at her, and everything seemed fine. Took the script from the receptionist, walked out the door, and went to put Erin in the car... pulled her away from me to put her in the car seat, and she had spewed all down her top and down half of mine as well ! Luckily I had taken her bag with us, and had a couple of wipes to clean up the worst of the mess.

And as for the prescriptions, $47 dollars !! Well, sort of. The prescription was for some Dimetapp and Otrivine Jr for Erin, as well as a repeat of her anti-fungal bum cream, along with some iron tabs for me, and some teethmed. *grump* Well, I suppose I could manage... Erin has only just started to try standing unassisted since yesterday, then got a shock, and fell down again ! Sorry to hear Caitlin isn't well at the moment Toni, I hope she gets over her runny nose soon..it's pretty awful!

Alyssa had a spew last night which in itself isn't so amazing.... The funny thing about the spew was that I had just picked her up out of her cot when she started to chuck, and so I held her over the change table to try and catch it all on the change mat if I could. After her spew I only noticed a little bit on her sleeping bag and thought it sounded like she had done more but I couldn't find the spew. After a few minutes I realised I felt wet all down the front of my top, but I couldn't see anything....until I took my sweatshirt off that is!! She had managed to somehow spew down the neck of my top so it was all over my t-shirt inside the sweatshirt haha!! Lycan has six teeth all together, 4 up top and two down below, they are big..hahha and he has a gap between the top two. Ok so my cubba bubba is first...ooooo

I still can't decide what to get him, I was going to get a swing set but they are so much more than I thought....and he can't use it till summer...argh hard 1

Aw Deez I am pleased it is working out for you. Lycan is just so clever.

We are now onto finger food. Sammies for lunch and meat and 3 veg for dinner.
I tried Tyrell on normal bread today as he refused his gluten & wheat free bread....bugger off Murphy!
We will see how he is tomorrow.

Alyssa is 1 on 28.07

Managed to get her to eat a lumpier dinner last night (well, it was mashed rather than the usual puree) and she only gagged a couple of times so it seemed good. Problem was that she had a sore tummy at bedtime so I guess she has to get used to digesting bigger bits? Erin ate the corner protectors we got for our coffee table - as in pulled them right off and stuffed them in her mouth, scared the living daylights out of me when I caught her doing it (and promptly fished it out). We have the corner protectors on the table....Tyrell pulls them off and plays with them LOL

The bath is boxed in with tiles. We have a routine where he will stand and watch the bath being filled, whilest I undress him. It just seemed to be the wrong place at the wrong time. (I still feel so bad)

We had those corner protectors and they're rubbish! The one time Caitlin head butted the coffee table her bump was huge and horrid and came up really badly! She didn't hit her head that hard

When Caitlin was zooming around with her walker last week she fell over on the driveway and she grazed her knee - her first OWIE!

I feel like the worst mummy ever! Tyrell will always stand and watch the bath being filled, then I undress him and he gets in.
Whilest he was getting undressed he moved and then slipped and hit his head on the side of the bath....literally right on the corner of the tiles.
I just feel so bad, I feel that I was the one watching so I am the one that is to blame.

Wow it sucks when you hurt them.....argh.

Caitlin is going to be running you all over the show Toni!

Well I lasted my first day and man I am really tired. The kids can be a handful but all in all it went really well. By the end of the day Lycan had adjusted to having alot of kids around him...at the start of the day he wouldn't let me go and if the kids came near him (cos' they wanted to mother him) he would wave his arm in the air as if to say piss off..hahaha

Toni, you're so gonna miss that gummy little bubba smile the teeth are really visible! I hope Caitlin copes better once the first lot have settled down!

Amy, I totally understand how you feel about the sleep thing at the moment... Alyssa is still waking at least once a night and seems to be teething again so there have been a couple of rough ones recently! What is so frustrating about her sleep patterns is that up until daylight savings she used to sleep 11-13 hours straight, but since then she rarely does the long stretch.

Poor Erin having so many teeth come through in a short space of time Jax... I hope you get a nice break in between teeth!

Alyssa is into the dancing thing at the moment too! It cracks me up seeing her short little legs bending away to the music :) She is 10 months old tomorrow so I guess I'll have to book in for the next MenzB jab.. Gawd I dread those days! Definitely will wait until after the photo session on Wednesday though!

Yes Lycan is able to come with me, that is another reason why I am seriously considering it. It means I have to brush up on my Maori...hahaha...guess i'll be sitting in the the kids during their sessions....

Jez I'm having Lycan's party on the 14th as well because the weekend after is my sisters first ball....oh dam we wont be able to come.....but we can always meet up another day whiole your here!

On another note I have been offered either a part time or full time position (which ever I want) to work at a Kohanga Reo. If I take either position I start on Monday. I haven't taken Erin in for her fourth MenzB jab yet, I am still deciding on that one.

And I am quite excited as I think we have found Erin's birthday present, and not too OTT with the $$ either - if we buy it now and save it until the day then it will be a bit cheaper on sale too.

In less exciting news, Erin has her first cold AND her rash is back, although it's pretty mild at the moment (thank goodness). Otherwise fine and going great guns, she has the funniest way of getting down from something she has pulled herself up on - she does the splits until her bum hits the floor LOL

My latest little craft project is a blanket for her with her name stitched into it, as well as knitting up a pair of pretty legwarmers (home made babylegs).

Yer he was doing ok till about 5mins ago he just started screaming. Ive gave him some pamol and just got back from a short walk up the street. He seems ok now plus his daddy is home.

Caitlin also had her 10mth jab today. Had a bit of a grizzle when the needle went in then laughed at the nurse
She was fine until about 2 hours ago when she started crying and has only just gone down for her afternoon nap (normally 2.30pm) poor bubbas

hehehe didn't read all the posts sorry.

Lets not even talk about sleep.....If only you could see me right now. Eyes hanging out my head, bottle of water and packet on nurofen on my desk. I have a huge migraine and could quite happily crawl under my desk and go to sleep. Literally.

Looking over the last week. He has gone down 6 out 7 times with a 1, once with a 4
Then every other night he gets up once for up to 3 hours (3 hours seem to be the norm) It is weird that it is every other night without a doubt.
Ed was 3 hours late for work today as Tyrell got up at 5 and I couldn't move out of bed, ended in tears and he just took Tyrell and kept him in the front so I could sleep a little longer....did some good.

How do you feel it is all going?

Hi Jess

At the moment Caitlin is blowing bubbles at both ends Her very own jacuzzi (she's her father's daughter when she does stuff like that!)

She has such a cheeky sense of humour too and KNOWS when she farts that its funny

She started clapping at the weekend too, aww my clever little girl

Kirst, totally agree re. the crawling thing! One day Caitlin just upped and crawled towards the tv remote (She's not allowed "Daddy's toys" ) and hasn't stopped since. IKt was weird because she looked like she'd been doing it for ages!
She never commando crawled or rolled either.

ARGH!!!!! Seven weeks 'til they're 1!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!? Nooooooo she's supposed to be my tiny lil' squishy bubba forever

Does this mean I have to grow up too? Evening ladies

Well, our little miss has been making great progress, and if you count the teeth that haven't *quite* broken through yet there are seven in total. Her sleep hasn't been too disrupted, although we have had the odd grumpy day.

She is also cruising the furniture and is just brave enough now to move from one object to the other (as long as it's within arm's length), but we have had a few 'oopsies' along the way too.

Her latest party trick is fake sneezing, which I think she must have picked up from DH - very funny. Lastly she is becoming quite confident in walking with assistance, although I am in no hurry for her to graduate to the 'real thing' !

Luna - I know it is a bit late, but it was lovely to meet both you and Amelia at the Waikato meet up a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, it is late so I will stop rambling on, hope all you other July mums n bubs are well

Caitlin loves all of the bubbles (and they must taste good too LOL), she's definitely been a lot easier to put down for the night but still wakes the same in the night, but I shouldn't moan it's only for a couple of minutes at the most when she can't find her dummy

STILL no teeth here "gummy baby" but I don't mind, at least there's something that is still "tiny baby" about her

Wow what a mission to get Tyrell to sleep tonight....45minutes! Compared to the last 2 nights 2 minutes max!

Oh Deez that is great. We are semi lucky in the teeth dept. they are slow but Tyrell doesn't get grizzly during the day.

Ahh yes, the extra bubbles is something I noticed too. There were so many the first night, Alyssa didn't like it! I made sure I added the liquid after the tub was filled the second night so the bubbles we'ren't so plentiful.

She also usually is very difficulty to dress after her bath due to wriggling but seems to lie there nicely when she's getting her massage..

Yeah I noticed it was stronger, and alot more bubbles. I thought I would struggle to massage Tyrell as I struggle to get a nappy on him....but touch wood (bugger off Murphy) he has just lay there the last 2 nights.

We are the same, no real changes other than making sure it is the same time each night. We are a bit lax and base a lot of things on Tyrell and his moods.
Do you use the blanket?

That is weird, we are the same. The last 2 nights he has crashed without any problems!

I'm still getting used to the smell which is much stronger than the old bedtime bath with lavender, but it's nice.

Yep, I'm doing everything as instructed, which actually doesn't put us out too much cause I already bathe Alyssa every night anyway. The massage is extra but she seems to like it. I have noticed with the trial that Tyrell settles so much easier. but Monday night was a crap night...up for 3 hours. But last night he slept through so who knows really!
What do you think of the products? Are you doing everything that has been asked?

Tyrell is so not interested in TV, although will have a gig to The Wiggles!

hummm as we live with SIL I didn't but I think maybe if she wasn't there I wouldn't have held back.
It is just such an awsome feeling to actually see the mile stone for your own eyes.
I was so worried he would do it whilest at his carer's house and not at home (PHEW)

Alyssa is still waking at least once every night and it's only 2 nights into the trial so not sure if it's going to change things yet? *fingers crossed*..

She has started cruising the furniture properly now, and is recently paying more attention to the tv than she used to! Specifically cartoons or animated commercials get her crawling up to the tv and putting her hands all over the screen..

Wow amy, did you shed a little tear when Tyrell took those steps? I bet it was an awesome sight :)

Wow Kirsten 7 teeth. We still have 5 and signs of only 1 more.

Tyrell took his first un aided steps the other night. It was just so cute.
We of course played the game of back and forward between mummy and daddy till he was tired and crawled, but he was not happy when we didn't get excited when he reached us crawling LOL no claps for crawling mate!

We're all good here! We're thankful that the Demon of Broken Sleep hasn't visited us (yet... I say 'yet' because I'm expecting it so I don't get so put out when it does happen!! hehe). Had Ashlee's MenzB shot this morning and she coped really, really well. Let out a 15 second grizzle and then that was it! I guess it did help that Mummy had a cracker ready to give her in the waiting room hehe so far today though she's been fine.

Tooth number 7 finally broke the skin this morning! Caitlin has been going to sleep so much better, but I think it's a combination of things that is helping and she's only been waking up once in the night and always at 10.30!?!?

Well we had a bit of a tantie tonight, Tyrell had his bed bottle at 7.30. NUP we were not ready at all......so 8.30 game and he finally went to sleep. I wonder if that means he may sleep a little longer in the monring....I can only hope!

I took Tyrell for his jab last night.....he let out a small grizzle when the needle came out...that was it.

I am having real problems with his sleeping. He goes to bed now at 8, but is awake at 5. The last 2 mornings I put him into bed with me and he goes back to sleep by 6 and will sleep through to 7.30
I am happy to have him with me, but is it a bad habbit to get into to?????

Hi ladies,
I am so glad this week is over. I work in a childcare centre and we have had lots of sick babies this week. Everyday we have sent someone home sick. Conjunctivitis is the bug of the month for us at work! Isn't it ironic that I work in a centre and yet my son stays at home with his daddy!
Our babies have now been out in the world longer than they were in our tummies, that is a scary thought I felt like I was preggo for ages and yet the past 9 1/2 months has gone so quickly!
