Other than that, slightly sitting up with cushions everywhere

Edited by Sheza

    Author: squoggs
Subject: 32633
Posted: 02 April 2010 at 10:52am

If its any help, I have been sleeping in the recovery position, with a pillow under my bent knee. I then put a wheat bag between my shoulder blades to help with the pain (I have an old injury & the muscles tense up quite badly, giving me a headache in the middle of the night).

I have also been taking Panadol Back & Neck (not sure why, cos im sure its the same as bog-standard paracetamol, but it does seem to work). Other things I have done are to burn lavender oil & take Rescue Remedy - just to help me relax so my back un-tenses. Also, I have been making my husband give me back massages before bed, and using a TENS machine on it to help loosen it all up (fantastic things! They cost about $200 but I figured its only the cost of several professional massages, or you can hire them).

Hope something works for you soon - sore backs & lack of sleep SUCK!

It's muscular pain. I've tried pillows in various places, but last night not much relieved the pain. Pain's not so bad if I sit right up without support....but, I've not mastered the art of sleeping in buddah pose!! I've got a few months to go yet, so any suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks!
