When you are holding it down without moving the spot angle the doppler from side to side. Possibly even try going down lower or move it slightly to each side. Good luck!

As AzzaNZ said, I would get up for a walk around then try again a bit later. Agree with using the gel too.. I never used it without the gel.

Do you have the gel to use too? that helps to increase the strength of the HB sounds, or also turning up the volume bit (if you havnt thought of that already). Just keep trying, you will find it eventually

    Author: pekay
Subject: 32634
Posted: 02 April 2010 at 9:00am

I have borrowed my MW's doppler for the weekend to share the HB with a sick family member and I can;t seem to be able to find it.

I have had 2 goes, last night and this morning. I am picking up a rhythm type sound (not really a beat) but it is up at 180ish so I am pretty sure it is not it. It is also not as loud as what it is when the MW does it. She located it for me yesterday, I have been mostly trying in that spot, but no luck there or elsewhere. I am pretty impatient....so maybe I just need to perservere.

SO any tips of finding it would be much appreciated. MW just kind of handed it to me and said go for it, it is really easy!!

ETA- I am 17weeks.

Edited by pekay
