Ok, so I went out and bought a HPT as I just couldn't wait till next week (I think AF is due mid-week).  Well the test was a BFN, but I'm wondering if anyone else has tested days before AF would have been due and got a BFN, then days later got a BFP? 

 

I go all crazy when it comes down ttc another baby, it's mental - and this is our first attempt at ttc no.2!  I fell preggers the first couple of days we ttc no.1, so it must have been perfect timing as I didnt know my cycle at all.  But I think I had already OV'd (I noticed the EWCM about 2 days before) when we started a week or so ago, so I shouldn't be too disappointed but I'm living in a little hope as I've had slight cramps for about a week, which I don't normally get prior to AF arriving.

Hi, I'm Tanya and I have a DS who is 15mo, a June 09 baby.  We're going to start ttc baby number two in two weeks, I'm so excited  .  I conceived our Son pretty much the first time we started trying and am hoping it happens just as quickly this time around.  FX!

 

I've got a MaybeBaby microscope thingee which I'll use this time also.  I only ended up using it for like 2-3 days last time so didn't look into other OV methods, but will this time if needed.  It's all new to me so will need to look google everything  

 

My last period was around the 7th Sept and I think my cycle is 28 days.  So I guess I next OV around mid-October?  Actually does anyone know if I start counting at the very begining of my period, ie for me I get a day or two of a browny discharge, then my period turns proper red and last for a few days.  Sorry if that's TMI   

Lets hope we all move into a 'Due in  .... 2011' thread soon!!

In saying your not entiled to the full 12months Maternity Leave - its something that you can discuss with them & most i've found are open to letting you take the full 12months - or something that would suit both parties.

We'll we're planning to start ttc #2 in October, as long as I start ovulating by then. Still breastfeeding #1 at the moment but will probably stop if my period is not back by then. This is my first month charting so it's all a new world for me!! Basically it was and still is the girls in the charting thread that are talking me through it, including how to set up the chart on fertility friend.

I was on here around may saying DP and i were going to try for #2 in October however aftr only 2 periods im excitited to announce we are pregnant, due 14th april so looking at about 22 month difference. Was a complete surprise as we hadnt even started trying. We keeping it quiet at the moment though as early days. I was just starting to think I might be showing early signs of being preg.... but then AF arrived - few days early, heavy heavy heavy, and very painful on my left side (a wee bit like bad ovulation pain).

Never had one like that before! Not keen to have another one in a hurry - Fingers crossed for next month!!!

Sabrina, EWCM = Egg White Cervical Mucus it's the stuff that looks jellyish (or like raw egg whites, which is where the name comes from) that comes out when you're most fertile. Glad you asked? Lol!

What is EWCM?

You could have missed ovulation, or it could be late this month??

Im pretty sure i am now FX. But im far from regular so i might not be.

If known i was pregnant early with both pregnancies, so will be interesting if i know next time around.

Last month i didnt have a good feeling, but this month everything is going right for us and i just have a feeling this might be our month. I hope so. OKAY.... ODD question...... is it possible to miss EWCM??? I have been waiting, waiting, waiting.... thought that I would have hit ovulation on Fri just gone, but have not seen the signs IYKWIM.

Its only our 1st month of trying, but Im so so sosoooooooooooooooooo impatient...... just want things to happen asap!

It took us 6months the first time around, and the 2nd was super dooper fast.... hope this one is too!

Im really hoping that things happen fairly quickly too, we had a 16 month age gap with our first 2, and our youngest is not 3!!

I have no idea where my cycle is at. I think i should be ovulating any day now. I need to buy some ovulation tests but will wait until next month now.

well this is our first cycle casually trying, won't know until af shows i guess lol. my cycle averages between 34-38 days. but looking at my chart (first month charting) it doesnt look like i have ov'd so we will have to see what happens in the next couple of months i guess.

We are going to TTC #2 in June or July (DH thinks July but I'm trying to get him to try earlier )

Bit nervous as it took 2 years to get DS so fingers crossed we don't have to try as long next time. DS is 2yrs now so I would ideally like less than a 4 year gap between them!

hey guys

ive been in the waiting to ttc thread for like 2 years but been hanging in charts for ages now. just got married in march and have finally been to the docs to get some folic acid and get my bloods done - just found out im immune to rubella so i guess we have the go ahead!

bought a BBT so just waiting on that to arrive so i can sort my cycle out as i have been off the bcp since july last year and my cycle still hasnt quite gone regular yet (Although it never was before going on bcp so not expecting it to be that regular).

I've heard that the Ovulation sticks are brilliant, particularly if you have trouble pinpointing exacting when its happening. A couple of friends have used them (after trying with no luck for a few months), and fallen pregnant that same month.

We've been TTC since Jan although everytime we start trying something comes up and we put it off lol. I think we just keep getting cold feet YKWIM. Our twins are turning two next month and can be a bit of a handful. We are so ready for another baby but every so often I think to myself where will we fit a newborn! Or how am I going to start from scratch all over again?!?!

We've been trying for number 2 since DD was born

I'm still BF though and at the moment i'm 6 weeks and may be miscarrying, will have to check at the scan tomorrow.

My DS was born on 22 Dec and so far it hasn't been so bad , they let me out of hospital on christmas day, lol. His first birthday last year was great, as my inlaws came up for his birthday and then stayed for Christmas. We figured June for ttc, as March would be a good month for a baby, plus it's quiet at my work over winter. Yep, we are starting properly this month to try for number 1. Last month we got married and instead of trying to we just stopped trying not to.

Ooh yay Sabrina!! We are thinking of TTC#2 soon too. I had a m/c before conceiving Chelsea, really hoping to not have another one
Am kinda thinking of not trying till July though, as don't want another baby to be born around Chelsea's birthday. Although it took 7months to get UTD with her so not likely to happen right away this time! I think we'll just wait and see where we end up living when our lease finishes end of May, then get my IUD out, wait a couple of cycles then see what happens

ETA: my "cycle" is all over the place too, I don't think I've even ovulated since I got pg with Chelsea lol. I was getting AF every 10-12 days from October - Feb, then it eventually got longer and now I'm on CD40 lol

Im the same Heidismum. DD took us nearly a year to concieve but #2 took us the first time. This time will be interesing.

DP still isnt 100% sure but thats because i had a rough pregnancy with DD so he doesnt know if ill cope having dd at home all day etc, but i said id have no other choice but i think with me being busy all the time i wont notice sickness etc as much as when i was sitting home by myself.

DD is a Jan baby so i didnt want another one. But i dont want a winter baby either, so im hoping ill be pregnant so i can have a feb-june baby. You get to a point though you just want to be pregnant so you dont care when your baby is due. lol

We are hoping to TTC for no.2 around June this year, I am a lot more keen than DH and would love to try now but DD (16 months) is a December baby as well as most of the rest of my family so we would like to have a mid year baby if possible, but it took nearly a year of TTC to fall PG the first time and I am thinking it will be the same again. I am so clucky I have 3 friends all with babies due at the moment.

We are planning on starting to TTC too! I've got to finish a course of medication 1st, and get the all clear from the Dr.... then we will be enjoying the 'trying' part - but not the 'waiting' part!

Yea ive been going to the gym wanting to lose weight but its just not happening, im getting more fit & more muscle but not losing.

I really wanted a small age gap but ended up having a miscarriage. Which did put me off wanting another for a while.

We're trying for #2 from June, all going well I want to lose 5-8kg first, just to make the pregnancy easier, especially with a toddler to run around after. I'm already lighter now than when I got preggers with DS, so that's good

We're starting soon! We get married on Saturday and after honeymoon, I'll be coming off BCP. Its anyones guess as to how long it will take after that! Im thinking of TTC again after having an Ectopic pregnancy in December. We are thinking about starting end of May, my cycle has been all over the place so i hope it sorts itself out before then
