Robyn - Oh wow - North Beach, that's like 2 minutes down the road from me! I live just off Mairehau Road. We had some family friends who lived in Orlando Crescent... I love North Beach! I love Waimairi Beach too, it's my special place!

my2angels - i'd definately be keen for a meet up at some point!!!! I'm working currently, but am off for good come august 30th. that said, i usually work about 3 half days and have the rest of the week off! What part of town are you in?

Janine - LOL i know what you mean about cocoa pops being all good! Anything that has chocolate in it is good as far as i'm concerned!

MrsFrantic - you're EDD is my cousins b/day & 3 days after my birthday! Sept 22 is just as good a date as the 25th LOL......

Hey welcome Emma - I'm Janine and i have 2 girls. Just a side note... cocoa pops are perfectly good - don't knock them as a good dinner, they are cereal and milk and chocolate all in one... that's 3 food groups you know!! add a sliced banana or something and that's 4, lol. (see how i used to reason when i was preg... lol, no wonder we went through so many boxes of cocoa pops!)

Hey Emma- firstly congratulations on the pregnancy and welcome!
I'm just a random from the world of Oz haha and I love this board. I'm on here most of the day and night and I also get on the www2.everybody.co.nz site and spend alot of time on there also in the august-to-be board... I'm a bit of a board jumper but oh well haha. I could be due 22nd of august which my ticker is set on or i could be 4th sept- but damn I'm hoping it's 22nd or earlier.

Emma, if you go to the "General Chat" section, you'll find a thread called "Where in the world" where we've all listed where in NZ (or overseas) we are currently living... that would give you the names of the other Christchurch mums and mum-to-bes. Would be really neat to find some fellow ChCh Mama's to chat to.... Much as i love pregnancy forum's in general, it's always nice to chat to someone who is near by... and lol up til now 'near by' has been Australia!

I hope it's okay to post this here, but i just wanted to introduce myself!

My name is Emma, i'm 22 and from Christchurch. I'm pregnant with my first little bundle of joy - and we found out at 19w that I'm having a girl! We've named her Gabrielle Jayda-Lee (Gaby) - and i'm seriously counting down the days now! LOL.

I plan to have her at Burwood Birthing Unit, and my ideal 'scenario' would be to have a waterbirth, but will see what Gaby decides on the day!

I'm a single Mama, though Gaby's Daddy is still very much in the picture, and is over the moon about his daughter arriving soon. I'm sad we can't be together through this, but I figure we're better off being best friends, than being together and growing to resent each other...
