My hairdresser just opened his own salon at Old Bank Arcade. Georgie Love
He used to work at Pearl Salon before this.

I recommend Malili Wilson from Shape across from Old Bank Arcade (Featherston St?). If you're still looking I highly, highly recommend Bryan Pauly at Haight Ashbury on Johnston Street - not cheap at $90 but ohhh soooo worth it. I've been living in Wellington for two years now and am still looking for a good hairdresser - ideally, one who has good hair advice, listens to what I ask for, doesn't talk my ear off and doesn't take hours and hours...
