I cant remember what the maximum dose is, but I have used these under hospital instruction. even then they took 3 days to work, and they can be put in a wee bit of juice.
I also gave my girl organics? prune and apple baby food, but what diod the trick was glycerine suppositories, as it had been a while since she had been and that got things moving well.
I used these on my very tiny 3 month old, so they are safe, but to be honest, it depends on how long its been and what your babies diet has been recently

Looks like I'm haunting you!! 0.3ml three times a day when it was bad at the beginning when I first introduced formula feeds & it took about 48hrs to kick in. Subsequently its worked within 24hrs off just 1- 2 doses. Things are back to normal now that G has solids properly established. It took at least 3 days for it to work for us, and at 15 months DD was prescribed 0.5ml 3 times a day.

It took about 3 days for us to get back to normal.
