Whenever I make them for bring a plate we never get left overs. Plus you can make them a bit smaller and it will make HEAPS.

This is a fantastic cook recipe that creates a thick cookie that is crunchy on the outside and soft on inside. Furthermore it is not overly sweet like I have found other ‘chewy cookie’ recipes to be.

Yvonne's Evil biscuits

Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan bake

INGREDIENTS

¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
175 grams butter
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 pinch of salt
2 ¾ cups plain flour
½ to 1 cup of chocolate chips (nuts or dried fruit if you prefer)

METHOD

Cream together the sugar and butter.

Add the egg, baking soda and salt then stir well to mix.

Add the flour and mix in well, the dough will appear to be quite dry.

Add the chocolate chips.

Press in to tight patty’s approx ¾ inch thick and form round.

Cook on grease proof paper (remember if you clean and store the grease proof paper you can use it again

Cook for 10 – 12 minutes.

We only just done grocerys and then found out afterwards!!

Biscuits could be good... But what about something more substantial? Cos it is for lunch Gosh.. This is hard...

Or, should I just presume other people will do more substantial stuff like this, and only take biscuits?

I don't even know how many people will be doing the course But I don't wanna look like the dumb young one who couldn't even make a effort...

Nice, easy and tasty

Or just do tomato and cucumber club sammies ( bit boring tho )

She even told him it had to be something pregnancy friendly (well duh?! Or does she really think I'm gonna turn up with a plate full of sushi??)

Its just, I'm not THAT fussy with what I eat-mainly cos I eat pretty well, and know whats fresh etc.. DH suggested I do club sandwiches, BUT then my thought was even if I use vacum packed ham etc, someone won't wanna eat it cos they'll be fussier than I am...

So help me with ideas of what I can take!

I'm not too keen on baking, cos, well, my baking isn't that great to share with strangers yet lol...
