PS If you do decide to go ahead, you'll pay a $25 (ish) fee in NZ, and the Aussie bank will take $10 (ish) fee at their end too. Generally the format they have given you (with a bsb number) is used when making international payments, they aren't overseas are they??
If a NZ account the bsb number is more than likely the bank & branch code, and the account number will just need a 0 on the beginning, you will still need the suffix however you could just assume 00.
Personally I hate messing with account numbers like that as you can never be 100% sure, so before changing it I would email them back requesting they send their account number in the format you have as that is the accepted format for NZ bank accounts.

This is what my online bank shows when i want to make a payment..

Bank (2)      Branch (4)      Account (7)      Suffix (2)

How do i write it out in my banks format?
