Oh I love the idea of Frozen Meals - think I'll do that. I'd love to help her out but I work full time and will be about 30 weeks myself when she has them! so I guess frozen meals will be like I'm there! I wanted to be practical as you always hear you get lots of clothes! I thought I would do a couple of personalised paintings when shes named them too.

I agree with bibs I asked everyone at my baby shower to buy bibs and still we had to buy more. Same with nappies they don't seem like the most exciting gifts but they were my favorite gifts by far lol. Blankets are also good. We had like 20 different blankets :)

If shes planning to breastfeed a breast feeding pillow is a must! I wouldn't buy clothes. One thing my mum always talks about 18 years after having twins is a friend of hers who came around to help out. She did washing, dishes, cooked etc and when she could looked after the babies so mum could have a well deserved sleep. Be hard for someone who is working but if I had a friend who was having twins I'd make a book of vouchers that she could 'redeem' when she needed kinda symbolic as I'd do everything I could to help anyway but make the gift tangible.

Not really specific to twins, but all the medical kind of stuff is pretty handy eg theometer, nasal bulb, medicine spoon etc..

Another pressie I loved was a massage voucher. I got both one for during pregnancy which was devine and also after when I got a much deserved break. Oh and agree re frozen meals, twins are HARD work, and just heating is so much easier than having to cook when your brain is zombie like after 3 hourly twin feeds!

Nappies!!! If she is planning on using disposables, then a couple packs of nappies is always handy! My SIL brought us a box of crawler size, was fantastic!!
Bouncers....a must for soothing one baby while other is being tended to.
Bottles and a couple small packs of formula....even if she is planning to breastfeed, it always pays to have some on stand-by....learning to BF is hard enough, when there is 2 it can be twice as hard!!! (I had one good latcher, one not!!!)
Frozen meals!! Closer to the time, stock her freezer with frozen meals she & her DH/DP can just reheat....those first few weeks can be pretty exhausting and having a readymade meal is a god-send!!!!
Lots of support and genuine offers of help (we had heaps of people offer help....very very few came through!!) .

ahh ok... well there is heaps of lists on the web just search google for New Baby Checklist and I guess you just double everything she will need.

Her midwive or her LMC will be able to give her information of what she will need to get, she could also ask friends that have had babys, her mother, sister etc.

Farmers is having a sale this weekend with some good specials 30-50% baby clothes and nursery items.

Not knowing what she has already has got is hard for someone to suggest something as there is heaps of things she will need and heaps of things someone can buy :)
