I've got a 2yr old and an 8 month old and the other thing I love about the P&T vibe (which is probably also the case for the other models) is the flexibility of being able to put the toddler seat on the front or back -

Often when we go out for a walk the baby will be due for a sleep so she'll go in the main pram flat or reclined, with toddler on top. When she wakes halfway through the walk she goes on the back and the toddler goes in the main pram. They both love all the configurations. Bella especially likes being in the back coz her feet can touch the back of the main seat.

Thanks for all the replies ladies!!

In the end we went for a P&T Sport. I wanted the Dash, but the Sport was just SO much cheaper that we couldn't justify it. We're not heavy buggy users anyway, so I think it will be fine.

Interestingly we puchased it in an online special from Baby Star (had the storm cover and mesh cover for free) and it was free delivery and it was on our door step less than 24 hours after we ordered it.

Happy as we're off to Aus this weekend and we really didn't want to take our current one as it's rubbish (Steelcraft Enigma Reverse Handle by the way - really hard to push on anything than a shopping mall floor and always felt really flimsy).

We got a P&T e3 Classic off TM. Its great! I fold it down with the doubles seat on it and its still smaller than the 3 wheel single we originally had lol DPs very happy! Being able to get extra storage to hang off it is real helpful and means no nappy bag or unbalanced buggy. We'll also be getting the travel system and capsule for baby #3. I really like how easy it is to attach and detach the top toddler seat. I don't have to disturb Ty at all and another bonus is that Jake feels really special so hes happy to sit up in it
I do find that its not the lightest handling with the 2 boys in it but still ok. hahahaha, I thought about getting once of those prams but I can just picture Keira punching the top of it or trying to hang out the sides as she is nosey.

I got a baby wise tandem pram off tm, both seats recline, the back fully reclines, hopefully it wil be cosy for both of them

Callum seems happy enough there. They can see a fair bit out either side of the pram - and TBH even in his other pram (we also have a Peg Perego) he looks out the sides or BACKWARDS coz all he wants to look at is the wheels lol! So the seat at the back of the P&T is ideal coz the wheels are right there

The other selling point for us was that you can fold the pram up with the double kit still on, although we haven't actually tried this yet. PS when you do your hunting, make sure you shop around for prices etc, esp online! My fave is Kiwibaby - they seem to have the best prices, as well as free shipping for any purchases over $100. Keep an eye out, cuz somewhere will usually have the buggy with extras thrown in for free. We got ours from baby on the move through the parent and child show with quite a few things thrown in which was great! Laurie, we've gone for the P&T Dash. Loving it!!! Have trialled it with Bethany and a lil friend and she's totally happy in either seat. They liken sitting in the toddler seat behind the main seat to sitting in the back seat of a car - there's plenty to see, just not straight ahead.

We've also bought the P&T capsule & travel system because since Bethany is a lightweight, we'll be able to snap the capsule onto the buggy and put her behind it in the toddler seat... BIG bonus in my opinion!!

We opted for the Dash cuz I decided the brake on the Vibe would drive me nuts, as I'm often pushing the buggy one-handed which means I'd keep setting it off. The brake on the pedal on the Sport wasn't so appealing, and I liked the feel of the Dash when we tried it out... thus the dash it was. Other reasons we chose it over the sport were: the plastic footrest (easy to clean), the fabric it was made of (apparently slightly more hard-wearing than the sport), the slide adjustable seat heights (as opposed to 3 options for heights) & the slightly roomier seats. That was just us tho, I know tons of people who love their Sport to bits and wouldn't trade it for anything :-) You'd have to get DH to try it out - the handle has a couple of different heights so hopefully one would work for him.

I'd go for a P&T or a LoveNCare Europa (I'd prefer P&T but we bought 2nd hand). I hated these types of pram with a passion for some reason, and DH thought they were odd. But TBH we don't know what we'd do without it! We mostly use it in malls, on footpaths etc so it's perfect. We have the Phil and Ted Sport which we just love. Easy to push, easy to fold up and down, easy to steer. The only thing that annoys me is the brake, it can be difficult to apply, but I prefer that in knowing its on if that makes sense.

There is the new Steelcraft Strider Plus 4 Stroller. I test drove it at the shop and it was nice but it is heavier than the P&T. I think for memory it can be put into 16 different settings (thats with the second seat though).

We've just bought a Phil & Ted's Vibe. I love it (you've probably seen me raving about it on here before). The handle has 3 (4?) different heights which we need as I'm only average height but DH is over 6ft, it works really well for us and I find it great for walking with. I often take C out all day and he sleeps happily in it too.

Pros - folds down EASY peasy, still only as wide as a single pram but can carry two kids, easy to push with two toddlers (I borrow my friends kids a lot lol), hand brake is good

Cons - the top of the extra seat isn't very high - Callum's head rests ON it already (instead of under) but it doesn't seem to bother him and he still falls asleep in it all right, some people don't like the brake because it's easy to accidentally engage it but it doesn't bother me.

We have the phil and ted Dash. It is working really well. We never used it in newborn toddler mode however because Kiara doesn't like to lie flat. So for the first few weeks i just carried her in a sling and then we used it tandem from then on. The back seat reclines enough that she was comfy. I have found it great!!! And we do a lot of walking.

I have an Adventure buggy. Toddler seat goes on top. They are made in Nz but you cna see them here www.gobubbago.com.au.

Maybe I should be posting this in the product reveiws section.. not sure. Feel free to move, admin, if you need to!

I was talking with mummy friends today and we were all unsure what to do for a buggy when number 2 arrives. I was really short-sighted and never considered what we would do when we got our first pram.

I would love to hear what people's recommendations are in terms of brands and models. I am not quite sure where to begin! What are the pros and cons of your buggy?

I don't want a side-by-side or a toddler seat, so it really leaves just the double-decker style. It also must have adjustable handles as DH has a back injury and can't hunch forward to push. Any firm favourites?
