If you have requested a PTS in a prior year they automatically send you one the next year sometime between now and July. Other than that if you request one you have to wait until they process them and send them out from August onwards. I just copied and pasted this from the IRD website at http://www.ird.govt.nz/income-tax-individual/end-year/pts/

What happens and whenThe PTS and refund process

Date What happens

                        Student loan end-of-year repayment calculations sent

August           Request a personal tax summary under "Get it done online"

Once PTS is sent Refunds less than $200 issued automatically
Refunds more than $200 issued once you've confirmed your PTS


The childcare can be claimed on the IR526 form but the only catch is that if you have to file an individual tax return (IR3) then you have to wait and file them both together. If you just have salary and wages then you can file the IR526 whenever you want and get the refund.

All of the stuff for the last financial year (1 April 2009 - 31 March 2010) gets processed over May/June, and then PTS are automatically sent out in July. It's a bit of a wait, which I hate!!

I was used this fantastic thread to try and claim back my tax but it won't let me and is saying that all my info will be sent out in July.

Why would this be? I have never received WFF until April this year. I worked for 2.5 school terms full time so will be owed money.

Also,do I claim my chilcare tax back at the same time or can I claim that now and wiat for the rest in july?
