If it helps, i have two sleep suits. both are sleeveless so I put Jesse in a long sleeve body suit

The outer is made of cotton and the inner is 100% polyester in one sack and 100% polyester and 100% merino in the other one. No idea if that helps. oh and one has a zip down the side the other a zip up the front but the join part is at the top and zips downwards

Have a pattern for a gown so maybe can try adjusting that lol.....

Nats I traced around a singlet then extended it right down to make the bottom part. You need to do either 2 layers of merino or a layer of merino and a layer of cotton for both the back and the front. Are you any good with sewing on a zip? Does anyone know a good pattern for making one of these for bubs? I figured that since I am handy with a sewing machine and have some merino, I should give it a try but don't have a good pattern...only have gowns which if I was clever I could alter...but usually I am not that smart haha.
