The trick was getting them to both be asleep by 1.00pm so I could watch Dr Phil or the View in peace. This probably happened about twice. Harry is now 3 and a bit and still having his sleep but because he goes to creche and the routine there is that they all have a rest at 12.30pm he also does it at home.]]>

Even if he doesn't sleep, Quinn spends an hour or so in his room on his bed, reading or playing. That way we both get a break. If he is happy then do not feel mean!!]]>

If he doesn't sleep after about an hour of playing quietly I usually get him up again, I figure he is at least getting some rest and quiet time even if he isn't sleeping but he will usually fall asleep in the first 15 minutes or so. You say he plays happily and then eventually falls asleep, what's wrong with that? If he were protesting and wouldn't fall asleep then maybe he would be ready to give it up but I'm thinking it's a phase.. (jealous here, a good sleep for Ella is 1.5-2 hours, normal is 1 hour).]]>

However he seem's to have changed his mind I will put him down and he will just sit in his cot and play for an hour before going to sleep it does not matter what time I put him down so the later I put him to bed the later he sleep's and of course that stuff's up the night time. I don't know if I should just drop his day sleep or what. Anyone got any idea's I think he still need's to have that sleep cause he alway's aventually goes to sleep its just seem's so mean leaving him down in his room when he is playing and happy. ]]>
