Henry got his first full tooth at 4months.
Don't worry about the breastfeeding. They learn really quickly if their feed stops as soon as they bite.
With henry i would say 'Ow don't bite' and put him on the floor and look away for a few seconds and then pick him up and continue the feed. I only got bitten maybe 4times in the 14months he breastfed, generally when he got a new set of teeth he would test them out

Hate to say it, but it sounds to me like it may be a tooth!
Keep an eye on it, it might go back down and not actually pop through, but if it does pop through you'll really feel or see it in a few days.

Wouldn't hurt to give him an age-appropriate teething toy, or a cold wet facecloth to chew on, just in case. The Weleda teething powder would probably be safe for him at that age too.

Edited by whitewave

He was quite grumpy yesterday so I was letting him have a good chew on my finger and I felt something quite pointy under the gum. When I got a look today I could see where the lump is, but I'm still hoping that either I'm wrong or this tooth could be ages away.

It's probably important to say he was most likely grumpy because we're staying out of town at the moment so he misses his bed.

So my question is, does this sound like a tooth coming through?
