I considered it when I left Mac's Dad but decided to live on my own.

I think parenting is a very personal thing and being jammed in a house with another mother would be hard for me. Especially if their child was a little turd! Or if I disagreed with their parenting style. Or visa versa.

Also, I'm a real giver. When I move in with people I always do the dishes, cleaning, vacuuming, etc, then they tend to take it for granted that I'll just do it.
I didn't want this to happen with the other mothers child IYKWIM. It makes sense from a financial and practical point of view but I agree with Bizzy that you would need to establish some ground rules first. Probably more around minding the other persons child while they pop out. If you separated from you partner whom you had been with for 5-6 years, do you think its a bad idea to move in with another mum of one?

If it would make paying the bills a lot easier, and having support close to you.

Would you do it?

One child is a DD3 and the other a DS5

Do you think its better to move to a cheaper house and settle in there by yourself?
